An elongate strap is fixed to the ring, wherein the elongate strap extends to a free end portion, the elongate strap extends between a first end portion and a second end portion.
Railcar deck channel pivoting side wall apparatus and methods of making and using the same
A railcar deck channel pivoting side wall apparatus and methods of making and using the same are provided. Specifically, the railcar deck channel pivoting side wall apparatus comprises a pivoting side wall arranged within a railcar deck channel to allow for the easy installation and/or removal of chain assemblies on railcar decks for the transport of heavy items thereon.
CAPTIVE BEAM SYSTEM WITH ROTATING LATCH
A captive beam system is provided. The system includes a beam assembly comprising a beam and channel units at each end. The beam comprising a top surface that, when the captive beam system is installed, faces upward, wherein the top surface establishes a flat resting surface. Each channel unit supports a bracket and a pawl, the pawl is rotatable with respect to the first end of the channel unit. The pawl comprises a support surface that is configured, when the captive beam system is installed, to rest upon a bottom edge of an aperture disposed within a fixed track, wherein a vertical distance between the support surface and the flat resting surface of the beam is about 2.58 inches. An optional upper latch is configured to substantially prevent movement of the beam assembly in a direction along a long axis of an aperture of a fixed track.
Dunnage bag arrangement
The invention discloses a dunnage bag arrangement for securing loads, includes an inflatable dunnage bag having a gastight inflatable bladder; and a hanger member connected to the dunnage bag and adapted to being supported on top of loads and adapted to support the dunnage bag in a void between loads. The dunnage bag includes a reinforcing sleeve made of at least one material ply, the sleeve having a first opening and a second opening, and the sleeve being folded and sealed and/or stitched to close off at least one of the openings.
LOGISTICS BRACKET FOR USE IN SECURING AND DECKING FREIGHT
A bracket for releasably securing a logistics bar within a trailer or containment vessel to help prevent shifting of freight during transport. The bracket comprises an elongate body having two or more hangers. The hangers are releasably securable to walls of the trailer or containment vessel to hang the bracket from one of the walls. The body has one or more slots therein that releasably receive an end of a logistics bar to permit the logistics bar to be releasably secured to the bracket. The bracket is securable at different locations along the wall of the trailer or containment vessel thereby permitting the positioning of the logistics bar within the trailer or containment vessel at a desired location.
ASSISTANCE STRAP FOR ACCESS TO CARGO CONTAINER
A device for use with a cargo compartment is provided. The device includes a fitting configured to engage a hole in a logistics track, the fitting comprising a ring that rotatably extends therefrom. An elongate strap is fixed to the ring, wherein the elongate strap extends to a free end portion, the elongate strap extends between a first end portion and a second end portion.
Position-limiting device
A position-limiting device includes a base and a position-limiting member rotatably provided on the base, the position-limiting device further includes a positioning member. The base has a hollow portion. The position-limiting member is switchable between a position-limiting state and a non-position-limiting state, when the position-limiting member is in the position-limiting state, the positioning member fixes the position of the position-limiting member; and when the position-limiting member is in the non-position-limiting state, the positioning member releases the position-limiting member, and at least a part of the position-limiting member is received in the hollow portion. The position-limiting member can switch between the position-limiting state and the non-position-limiting state, and the positioning member can fix the position of the position-limiting member and release the position-limiting member; and in the non-position-limiting state, at least a part of the position-limiting member is received in the hollow portion of the base.
Load transport and restraining devices and methods for restraining loads
Load transport and retraining devices and methods for restraining industrial machines or heavy machinery, such as, turbines, to prevent displacement during adverse environmental conditions, such as, pitching and rolling seas, are provided. The devices include support structures adapted to support loads and having wheels positioned and adapted to engage rails. The wheels include a first set of wheels adapted to ride on top of the rails and a second set of wheels adapted to engage the sides of the rails and thereby retain the support structure to the rails. The devices may also include a third set of wheels adapted to also engage the sides of the rails. The devices may include brake and drive assemblies to facilitate handling. Aspects of the disclosure are uniquely adapted to turbines, but other aspects of the disclosure may restrain any industrial machine that may be exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
AUTO-RACK RAILROAD CAR VEHICLE RESTRAINT APPARATUS
A vehicle restraint system for an auto-rack railroad car which includes an active chock and an anchor chock configured to co-act to secure a vehicle in the auto-rack railroad car. In various embodiments, each chock has a chock body including a substantially diamond shaped elongated tube which includes four integrally connected elongated walls. In various embodiments, for each chock, various components of that chock extend substantially along longitudinal axis that lie in the same or substantially the same vertical plane as the apex and trough of the substantially diamond shaped elongated tube of the chock body. The active and anchor chocks: (a) have a lower height than known commercially available vehicle restraints; (b) have a smaller width than known commercially available vehicle restraints; (c) position the strap and the torque tube closer to the tire of the wheel than any known commercially available vehicle restraints; (d) take up a smaller area of each safe zone adjacent to the wheel than known commercially available vehicle restraints; (e) provide a greater strength to size ratio than known commercially available vehicle restraints; and (f) are easy to operate, install, and remove.
