PLATFORM LIFT FOR RAILROAD CAR MOVING VEHICLE
A railroad car moving vehicle comprises a chassis, the chassis including at least two ground wheels and at least two track wheels; a platform moveably mounted on the chassis; a platform lifting apparatus configured to move the platform between a raised position and a lowered position relative to the chassis, the platform lifting apparatus including a platform lifting cylinder operatively coupled between the chassis and the platform; and at least one locking leg, the locking leg positionable between an extended position and a stowed position, the locking leg preventing lowering of the platform when in the extended position.
Intermodal transportation system
A system for improved intermodal freight transportation is described herein. Improved carriages and support trusses are provided that beneficially move the load-bearing structure to interconnected support trusses forming a top-end spine of the train with freight containers equipped with wheels hanging underneath. Upon entering a terminal, the floor adjacent to the rails may be configured to gradually rise until the container's wheels are supporting the container's weight. When properly aligned with a container exchange station, the container's connections to the train may be configured to release the container from the train, and the container's wheels may be configured to pivot, allowing the container to be rolled to the side of the train and replaced by another. This may allow the container to be replaced without having to lift the container or disconnect any of the rolling stock components.
LOADING SYSTEM AND TRANSPORTING WHEELED VEHICLES ON RAILWAY NETWORK
A system (100) for loading and transporting on railway network wheeled vehicles comprising one articulated vehicle (50) equipped with a drive (51) and semitrailer (52), the system (100) comprising: a computerized system configured to be placed in a station of the railway network; at least one elevator wagon (101) interfaced with the railway station computerized system; at least one carrier wagon (102); and a carriageable road infrastructure (103). The elevator wagon (101) comprises: a platform (101a); a linear structure (101d) to which the platform (101a) is inferiorly coupled; lifting structures (101e); an electronic control system (123); and auxiliary systems. The carrier wagon (102) comprises a linear structure equipped with two wheel systems (102aa) between which a load platform (102a) is comprised; load sensors; systems to assist in loading and unloading maneuvers and handling of the articulated vehicle (50) or of the single drive (51).
Device for transport and storage of passenger cars
A device and method for efficient transport of passenger cars or similar, with a high environmental and energy saving result, including, for example, a two-dimensional framework, a connecting element positioned and attached in a third dimension perpendicular to the framework. The two-dimensional framework and the connecting element together form a framework body of the device. A fastening device for vertical attachment and storage of a passenger car is provided. The passenger cars are placed vertically suspended in the container device such that the use of volume is significantly improved compared to prior solutions.
DISCHARGE FLOW MULTIPLICATION OF FIRE SUPPRESSION AGENT
A fire suppression system includes at least one spray nozzle for expelling a fire suppression agent into a space; a first container at least partially filled with a first fire suppression agent. The first fire suppression agent within the first container has a first pressure. A conduit extends from the first container to at least one spray nozzle. A second container is at least partially filled with a second fire suppression agent and is arranged in fluid communication with the conduit. The second fire suppression agent within the second container has a second pressure less than the first pressure. A mixture of the first fire suppression agent and the second fire suppression agent is movable through the conduit to the at least one spray nozzle via the first pressure.
SELF-DRIVING SINGLE-CAR TRAIN SYSTEM
A train system having a train element consisting of a single train car configured to travel along a rail system, and including an enclosed first use area and a flat car section. The flat car section includes a drive-on loading area configured to enable a vehicle to be driven onto the flat car section and then transported by the train car. Train element includes a drive system for moving the train element along the rail system and a control system for autonomously controlling the operation of the train car. A sensor system collects sensor data and provides the sensor data, as inputs, to the control system. Sensor data is used by the control system in operating the train car. Lastly, a power system independently powers the drive system and control system.
HIGH-SPEED MASS TRANSPORT SYSTEM
A high-speed mass transport system having a monorail track disposed along a travel path and a monorail car with a driving unit suspended from the monorail track and a commuter car selectively attached to the driving unit. The high-speed mass transport system having also having an omnidirectional wheel transporter being adapted to selectively raise and lower to engage the commuter car, thus allowing the commuter car to detach from and reattach to the driving unit.
Rail and train system
A rail and train system has at least a rail pair on which a rail vehicle that is provided with at least one wagon is movable. In the wagon, at least one lifting device is accommodated with which containers can be transported through an opening in the floor of the wagon and which is movable transverse to the length direction of the wagon. The rail vehicle can be provided with a chassis that is formed by two chassis parts that are positioned at a distance behind each other in the travel direction.
Method and apparatus for calibrating rail scales
An apparatus for calibrating a rail scale is described. The apparatus is attached to a first trailer and a second trailer and the move from a first site to a rail scale site over highways and roads. The apparatus includes a calibration vehicle, bins of weights, and a crane. The crane positions the calibration vehicle, that is self-propelled, on rails and loads weights on the calibration vehicle. The combined weight of the calibration vehicle and weights has qualifying values that ensures a scale is in compliance rail scale calibration standards.
