MEDICAL IMAGING DEVICE AND METHOD OF OPERATING A MEDICAL IMAGING DEVICE

A medical imaging device includes an x-ray source disposed at a first end of an arm, and an x-ray detector disposed at a second end of the arm opposite of the x-ray source. At least one of the x-ray source, the x-ray detector, and a portion of the arm are selectively adjustable with respect to the arm.

OPTICAL MARKERS FOR CALIBRATION/ALIGNMENT OF MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC DEVICES

Optical sensors and optical markers are placed on components in a medical system to provide calibration and alignment, such as on a patient transportation mechanism and spatially separated medical diagnostic devices. Image processing circuitry uses the data captured by these optical devices to coordinate their movements and/or position. This enables scans that were captured in multiple medical diagnostic devices to be accurately aligned.

Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer programs for processing tomographic images

A method, system and computer readable storage media for segmenting individual intra-oral measurements and registering said individual intraoral measurements to eliminate or reduce registration errors. An operator may use a dental camera to scan teeth and a trained deep neural network may automatically detect portions of the input images that can cause registration errors and reduce or eliminate the effect of these sources of registration errors.

A method and system for spectral adjustment for a digital X-ray imaging system. The method includes obtaining a set of initial digital X-ray images and then weight factoring the images to generate a set of weight factored digital X-ray images. The weight-factored digital X-ray images are then combined to generate a composite image that is spectrally distinct from the set of initial digital X-ray images.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DOSE MEASUREMENT IN AN X-RAY DEVICE

An apparatus, for dose measurement designed for use in an x-ray device, is disclosed. In an embodiment, the apparatus includes a mirror element designed to inject a light field into an x-ray beam penetrating through the mirror element; and a measuring device to measure radiation-induced changes to a carrier material. The carrier material is part of the mirror element and/or another component of the apparatus, which lies in the radiation field of the x-ray device when used normally in an x-ray device. A corresponding method for dose measurement and to an x-ray device is also disclosed.

Fluid path impedance assessment for improving fluid delivery performance

A fluid injector system for delivering a multi-phase fluid injection to a patient and methods of fluid delivery is disclosed. Methods of creating and using a multi-aspect fluid path impedance model of the injector system are used. Modeling and adjustment of factors that affect impedance and prevent or reduce backflow, reduce the likelihood of fluid flow rate spikes and provide more accurate flow rates and mixing ratios of fluids may be repeated or happen essentially continuously during an injection. The adjustments may be determined before the injection or determined and/or adjusted during the injection. The determination may include sensor feedback commonly used in injectors such as pressure and position feedback as well as other sensors. In all cases, the user can be notified of adjustments through on-screen notices and/or through the recordation of the injection data by a control device of the injector at the conclusion of the injection.
