Buffer

A buffer comprising a first, elongate buffer element that is moveably received within the interior of a second, elongate, hollow buffer element such that the first and second buffer elements overlap over part of their length, such that the buffer elements define a hollow interior of the buffer and such that at an end of the buffer at least the second buffer element is exposed for engagement with a respective, further member, the first and second buffer elements being moveable between a first, extended or intermediate configuration of the buffer and a second, compressed configuration, compression of the buffer more energetically than a threshold energy level causing the first buffer element to energize a non-recoverable energy absorbing member, forming part of the buffer or capsule, to cause deformation of one or more plastically deformable parts of the buffer, characterized in that the non-recoverable energy absorbing member lies between the ends of the buffer at least in the region energized by the first buffer element.

A System of a Bearing Bracket and a Coupler Rod Or Connection Rod, a Multi-Car Vehicle and a Method for Controlling the Movement of a Coupler Rod or Connection Rod

A system includes a bearing bracket, for connecting a coupler rod or a connection rod to a car, and a coupler rod or a connection rod connected to the bearing bracket. The bearing bracket has an adapter and a joint that allows the adapter to swivel relative to the bracket. The rod has a stabilizing element having a surface that is not parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rod and is spaced apart from a surface of the bearing bracket. Upon application of a force of a predetermined first strength in one direction, the adapter moves relative to the bracket in the one direction until the surface of the stabilizing element contacts the surface of the bearing bracket. Upon application of a force of a second strength to the rod, the stabilizing element detaches from the rod, so that the rod can move relative to the stabilizing element.

ARTICLE CONVEYANCE DEVICE

An article conveyance device includes a travelling section configured to travel along a travelling path, a body section suspended from the travelling section, and a power storage section storing electricity. The body section includes a first structure extending downward from a travelling section side. The first structure accommodates the power storage section and includes an impact absorption member arranged in a forward position on a side farther from a center position of the body section in a front-and-rear direction than the power storage section.

Coupler device for a coupling, in particular of a rail vehicle
12344288 · 2025-07-01 · ·

Coupler device for a coupling, in particular of a rail vehicle, is provided with a drawbar with spring elements mounted thereon in order to dampen the tension and pressure forces incurred, with a plate arranged between these, and a support flange secured to the rail vehicle. The plate bears the drawbar and is held on the support flange and connected at its outer circumference in each case with a carrier disk, each in an opening of the support flange, by overload elements arranged adjacent to one another. The overload elements are sheared off in the event of an overload in the pressure or tension direction of the drawbar. Accordingly, a secure connection is formed between the support flange and the plate, which, in the event of a crash or an overload, can be detached in a functionally reliable manner, but which in normal operation ensures a perfect coupling linkage.

Energy dissipation device

An energy dissipation device is shown in connection with its implementation in train couplers. The energy dissipation device comprises axially compressible, irreversibly deforming steel elements arranged in a housing and axially pre-tensioned between a compression means and a counter-pressure means. In case of an impact, the compression means is moving in sliding contact with the inside wall of the housing to provide axial compression of the energy absorbing elements while preserving the integrity of the housing.
