DURABLE RAILROAD BRAKE STICK
A railroad brake stick includes a head made of non-metal material (e.g., polymer). The head includes a planar shape with a proximal end, a distal end, a lower side, and an upper side. The lower side includes a curved recess and the upper side on the distal end of the head includes a protrusion. The railroad brake stick further includes a substantially hollow shaft made of the composite material. The substantially hollow shaft includes a first end and a second end, the first end coupled to the proximal end of the head. The railroad brake stick further includes at least one magnet coupled to the substantially hollow shaft and an end cap coupled to the second end of the substantially hollow shaft.
HANGING TROLLEY SYSTEM WITH BRAKE
A hanging trolley system includes a body, a plurality of first support wheels, and a brake system. The body includes upper and lower portions. The first support wheels are coupled to the upper portion of the body for rotation relative thereto about corresponding first axes that are parallel to each other. The first support wheels are configured to roll on an upward facing first surface of a rail to support the body on the rail. The brake system includes a traction wheel, a first component, and a second component. The traction wheel is coupled to the lower portion of the body for rotation relative thereto about a second axis and is configured to roll along a second surface of the rail. The first component is coupled to the traction wheel for rotation therewith. The second component is configured to selectively inhibit rotation of the first component.

Configurable locomotive brake controller
A locomotive brake controller that has a body configured to interconnect to a desktop location in the cab of a locomotive and a mount that can attach the base of the controller to a vertical stand in the cab of a locomotive. The controller also includes an operator interface adaptor that can be clocked relative to the body and an operator face plate that can be clocked relative to the mount depending on the location of installation to ensure proper tilting of the interface relative to the operator and proper orientation of the operator display. Alternatively, the adaptor may include a fixed face plate that includes a moveable display and an adhesive membrane with operator buttons to properly orient the display.

TELESCOPING HANDLE DEVICE
A telescoping handle device may include an outer housing which may be slidably coupled to a shaft. The outer housing may have an elongated side wall, and the side wall may terminate in a first end and a second end. A cavity may be formed within the side wall, and the cavity may include a key channel and a lock groove. The shaft may be movable within the cavity, and the shaft may have an upper end and a lower end. A shaft key may be coupled to the shaft, and the shaft key may be slidably engaged within the key channel so that the shaft key is slidable between the first end and the second end. The shaft key may be rotatable out of the key channel and into the lock groove to prevent the shaft key from being slidable between the first end and the second end.
AUTOMATIC PARKING BRAKE FOR TRUCK MOUNTED BRAKE CYLINDER
An automatic parking brake for a truck mounted brake cylinder. The automatic parking brake includes rod that is interconnected to a piston of the brake cylinder and can prevent the piston from returning to the brakes releases position. The rod is controlled by locking nut that will rotate if the rod moves axially through the locking nut and a locking sleeve that is moveable between a locked position, where the locking sleeve engages the locking nut and prevents from the nut from rotating, and a released position, where the locking sleeve is disengages from the locking nut and the locking nut is free to rotate. A spring provides a force biasing the locking nut into the locked position, and brake pipe pressure biases the locking sleeve into the released position.

Torque wrench adaptor system for a railcar hand brake
The present document describes a torque wrench adaptor system for applying a torque value to an operating shaft of a manual brake of a railcar. The torque wrench adaptor system comprises: a central hub for a hand wheel, the central hub attachable to the operating shaft via the central hub; and a socket adaptor removably engageable in the central hub, and adapted for engagement with a ratchet tool; wherein the ratchet tool is for applying torque which is transmitted to the operating shaft via the socket adaptor and central hub until the torque value is reached and applied to the operating shaft.
