ASSESSMENT OF PHYSICAL FITNESS OF AN ANIMAL OR HUMAN INDIVIDUAL
The invention determines an efficiency value (E) denoting preferably the relative period of muscle fibre activity during a recorded period of exercise, and a strength value (S) representing the number of muscle fibres recruited during a movement as part of the exercise or of a muscle contraction, and a temporal value (T) representing the frequency with which muscle fibres are activated repeatedly during exercise, and finally combines the efficiency value (E), the strength value (S) and the temporal value (T) by a linear combination to obtain an index value (ESTi) indicative of the fitness level of the individual. The obtained ESTi Score is useful for assessing the training level of an animal or human individual and the individual's potential for different types of sports and other activity. Also the effect of past training or diet can be assessed, and the possible need for changes in training or diet can be assessed.
MUSCLE CONDITION MEASUREMENT SHEET
A pair of stimulating electrodes and a mechanomyography sensor come into intimate contact with a body surface of a muscle, appearing on a back surface of an insulating sheet and being spaced a predetermined distance apart; accordingly, an electrical stimulation position and a position to detect muscle sound are fixed, and the amplitude and frequency of an evoked mechanomyogram MMG can be quantitatively detected without depending on the electrical stimulation position and the muscle sound detection position.
MUSCLE CONDITION MEASUREMENT SHEET
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a muscle condition measurement sheet that can quantitatively detect the amplitude and latency of an evoked electromyogram EMG or an evoked mechanomyogram MMG and correctly evaluate the state of activity of a muscle. A pair of stimulating electrodes and all myoelectric detection electrodes come into intimate contact with a body surface of a muscle, appearing on a back surface of an insulating sheet spaced at predetermined intervals; accordingly, the relative position between an electrical stimulation position and the myoelectric detection electrode is fixed and the amplitude and latency of the evoked electromyogram EMG can be quantitatively detected without depending on the stimulation position of an electrical stimulation signal.
IMPLANT EVALUATION IN PROSTHESIS INSTALLATION
A system, method, and computer program product for allowing any surgeon, including those surgeons who perform a fewer number of a replacement procedure as compared to a more experienced surgeon who performs a greater number of procedures, to provide an improved likelihood of a favorable outcome approaching, if not exceeding, a likelihood of a favorable outcome as performed by a very experienced surgeon with the replacement procedure, such as by understanding the prosthesis installation environment (e.g., cup/cavity interface) and to provide intelligent and interactive tools and methods to standardize the installation process and provide feedback regarding a quality of insertion/installation. Force sensing is included to aid in quantifying installation of an implant, particularly a cup into a pelvic bone.
RENAL DYSFUNCTION RISK STRATIFICATION
Systems and methods for assessing a patient's risk of renal dysfunction are described. A system may include sensor circuits to sense physiological signals and processors to generate signal metrics from the physiological signals. The system may generate a primary renal risk indication using a first signal metric, and a secondary renal risk indication using at least a second signal metric. The system may generate a composite renal risk indication and estimate a glomerular filtration rate or a chronic kidney disease stage using at least the primary and secondary risk indications. The composite renal risk indication, which indicative of a degree of renal dysfunction, may be presented to a clinician, or provided to a detector for detecting worsening heart failure.
SENSOR FOR INTERVERTEBRAL FUSION INDICIA
A diagnostic system is provided that provides sensing and transmitting of fusion indicia to determine whether fusion has occurred. In some embodiments, a diagnostic system comprises a spinal implant or graft material; an antenna configured for sending signals to a remote location; a sensor configured for measuring at least one fusion indicia; and a receiver for receiving signals at the remote location.. In some embodiments, a method of utilizing a diagnostic system comprises the steps of inserting a spinal implant or graft material within a disc space between two vertebrae; measuring at least one fusion indicia; sending signals to a remote location with an antenna; and receiving signals with a receiver at the remote location.
DISTRIBUTED EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL WIRELESS SENSOR SYSTEMS FOR CHARACTERIZATION OF SURFACE AND SUBSURFACE BIOMEDICAL STRUCTURE AND CONDITION
Systems and methods are disclosed that use wireless coupling of energy for operation of both external and internal devices, including external sensor arrays and implantable devices. The signals conveyed may be electronic, optical, acoustic, biomechanical, and others to provide in situ sensing and monitoring of internal anatomies and implants using a wireless, biocompatible electromagnetic powered sensor systems.

PERSONAL PROTECTION AND MONITORING
A personal protection device includes one or two elongate members for engaging into the nostrils of the nose of a user. The elongate members each includes gridded ports for allowing air to pass through the elongate member when breathing in and for allowing air to exit via the elongate member when breathing out. Sensors are placed in the air flow pathway to detect pathogen presence, and the primary air filter is positioned in the elongate member. In yet other embodiments, a disposable version is disclosed. The eyewear can also be used as part of an extended reality system, and when game playing, particularized scents can be rendered to the nose to enhance the gaming experience. In another aspect, systems and methods protect against pathogen by sampling an environment of a travel path with a plurality of pathogen detectors along the travel path to detect a presence of one or more pathogens, wherein at least one detector includes a nano-sensor with receptacles to bind to the pathogens and wherein the nano-sensor changes resistivity, inductance or capacitance upon pathogen binding; directing air towards said pathogen detectors; contact tracing a user mobile device having a mobile identification (ID) carried by each user, wherein the mobile device comprises a memory storing mobile IDs of all devices within a predetermined radius of the user mobile device; and performing deep learning with a neural network receiving data from the pathogen detectors and to the user mobile device to detect a presence of one or more pathogens.
SMART JOINT MONITOR FOR BLEEDING DISORDER PATIENTS
