System and method for virtual block stick circuits
A system and method for virtual block stick circuits is presented. The present disclosure implements specialized algorithms adapted to determine the true status of a virtual block based on multiple inputs from different perspectives. In one embodiment, the system can use the far house perspective of that virtual track segment and the PTC hazard for the near virtual track segment directly adjacent to the near house uses the near house perspective of that virtual track segment. For the middle virtual track segments, the near house perspectives of the middle virtual track segments are held TRUE if they are already TRUE when the train first enters the block, using stick circuits for the near house perspective of the middle track circuits. The vital application can then indicate the true state of the virtual track segment as occupied (FALSE), to protect the train from trains that follow.
Railway shunt enclosure
A railway termination shunt enclosure including one or more receptacles, each of the one or more receptacles being configured to receive a termination shunt. The enclosure also includes at least one mounting surface and a connector assembly rotatably attaching the one or more receptacles to one or more of the at least one mounting surface.
Railroad track circuits
The present invention provides systems, methods and devices that accurately detect the speed and direction of vehicles on railroad tracks, and which use the information to calculate arrival times.
METHOD AND SYSTEM OF RAILWAY TRACK PARAMETER MEASUREMENT AND CALCULATION
An improved method and system of measuring multiple railway track parameters via a survey device that can be installed on any vehicle traveling on a railway track is disclosed. The survey includes a sensor unit and a position determination unit that obtain various railway track parameters and their corresponding position coordinates and record the data at a storage medium. The data can then be transferred or communicated to a computing device configured to process the data and to quickly and efficiently obtain one or more of a railway track profile, plan, vibration chart, and rail discontinuity indices.
Method, Controller and System for Determining the Location of a Train on a Track or of a Broken Rail of a Track
The present invention relates to a method for determining the location of a train on a track or of a broken rail of a track, the track including a first section having a first end and a second end, the method including: injecting a current into the track at one end of the first end and second end; detecting the amplitude of the injected current at the same end at which the current was injected; and determining, based on the detected amplitude, the location of the train on the track or of the broken rail of the track.
MAGNETIC RAIL SHUNT WITH VARIABLE RESISTOR
A magnetically clampable rail shunt (1) comprising two magnetic clamps (10), each clamp having a magnetic device for attaching the clamp to one of two parallel railway rails (R1, R2) of a railway track by magnetic force, and an electrical conductor (20) electrically connecting the two magnetic clamps (10) for shunting the two parallel railway rails. The rail shunt (1) is characterised by a variable electrical resistor assembly (30) for adjusting the electrical resistance of the rail shunt (1), said variable electrical resistor assembly (30) being connected in series between the two magnetic clamps (10) via said electrical conductor (20). Preferred application to testing of track circuits.

Conductor Assembly for Rails
A conductor assembly for a rail can include a first conductor and a plurality of second conductors (e.g., with each of the plurality of second conductors having a different length). An exothermic weld can connect a first end of the first conductor to first ends of the second conductors (e.g., three or more second conductors of different lengths).
SUPPLEMENTAL SHUNTING DEVICE INDICATOR
A supplemental shunting device indicator (SSDI) for use with respect to a shunting device for a railroad. The SSDI comprises a housing. The housing comprises a light, a clamp for surrounding at least a portion of the shunting device, a power supply, and a current-sensing switch configured to electrically connect the power supply and the light in response to detection of a current.
Failsafe rail mounted shunt device
The present disclosure generally relates to shunt devices for providing multi-fold protection for track workers. For example, a failsafe shunt device may have a pair of end components magnetically couple to two running rails and a central unit connected to the pair of end components via electrical wires. The failsafe shunt device may communicate with an operations control center (OCC) to indicate a presence of the shunt device. Related methods of using disclosed shunt devices and associated systems are also described.
