BlueflagProtection Automatic LED Display Dampened Foot Released Sign Pole Systems
The sign pole system disclosed simplifies the FRA requirement by incorporating many features into the sign pole system. The worker operating the pole can quickly raise the pole just by stepping on the lift bar. To lower the pole remove the required safety is done by stepping on the release footstep. The built in LED features will activate only when it is nighttime and when the pole is in the vertical position. The sensitivity to actuate the LED's is adjustable to compensate for night yard overhead lighting. A solar panel keeps the battery charged. When required a pad lock (lock out device) can be inserted into the foot step base to secure the sign pole system in the up position until deemed safe by the worker to remove the sign protection. Manually attaching a night time blue light is no longer required because the LED light is now built into the sign pole and is automatically actuated.
Method for data transmission inside a rail-bound traffic system
A method for data transmission inside a rail-bound traffic system has of a plurality of field elements, in which the data transmission takes place via a flexible wireless transmission path between a sender field element and a control unit along available field elements. A data transmission system is for application of the method and a rail-bound traffic system having such a data transmission system. Furthermore, there is use of communication units on field elements of a rail-bound traffic system to form the data transmission system.
RAILROAD CROSSING GATE MONITORING AND ALARM SYSTEM
Aspects of the disclosed embodiments generally relate to a current monitoring and alarm system for a railroad crossing gate. The system is capable of determining that the gate is functioning properly or not. In addition, the system can issue an alarm or provide some other indicator when the gate is not functioning properly or is being subjected to excessive loading.
Security Method And Security System For A Railway Network
A protection method for a railway network which is divided into track sections by track elements, and which can be traveled on by vehicles. The vehicles request steps for assignment from selected track elements to form travel path elements. In order to optimize the train service, each of the selected track elements provides at least one signal for each vehicle that requests at least one of the steps for assignment as a travel path element from same. There is also disclosed a protection system for a railway network.
CABLE DRIVEN RAILROAD SWITCH INDICATOR
A railroad switch indicator, that operates independently of the mechanism for operating the switch, for signaling the position of the switchpoints via a flexible mechanical cable connected to a railroad switch amplifier mechanism. The railroad switch amplifier mechanism has linkage members attached to a crossbar connecting inner stockrails and to a pivoted lever arm, the output arm of which is attached to the mechanical cable. The flexible mechanical cable allows the railroad switch indicator to be positioned remotely from the switchpoints and switch amplifier mechanism in a highly visible and easily serviced location.
Support Frame for a Temporary Signal for a Railroad
A support frame is disclosed for a temporary signal for a railroad. The railroad includes a track having two elongate rails, and the support frame comprises a post arranged to support a railroad signal, a base joined to the post, and at least one attachment for attaching the base to both rails of the track. The base comprises a first beam and a second beam, and the first beam and the second beam are each arranged to be attached to both of the rails.
Method and Device for Determining a Signal Aspect for a Rail Vehicle
A method for determining a signal aspect representing the vacant or occupied state of a track section for a rail vehicle, in particular a maintenance or construction vehicle, on a CBTC track. In this case, the rail vehicle does not have an on-board CBTC device. In order to dispense with special hardware, an app on a smartphone initiates the following steps: A) photographing of a track beacon in the direction of travel, B) determining the ID (identification signature) of the track beacon, C) transmitting of the track beacon ID to a CBTC track control centre and D) receiving of the signal aspect determined by the CBTC track control center for the track section starting with the track beacon.
Overhead rail guidance and signaling system
An overhead railway and trolley for transporting miners out of a mine. The railway is formed by connected rails that are mounted to a roof of a mine. The trolley is mounted to a bottom flange of the rails and includes wheel assemblies having at least two wheels mounted side-by-side, and each is configured to engage and roll along a top surface of the bottom flange. The trolley has a clicker that is configured to engage protrusions extending away from the bottom flange. The clicker permits the trolley to travel out of the mine but prevents it from traveling into the mine. The trolley also includes a pair of handles that are configured to be gripped by a miner standing on a floor of the mine as he travels from the beginning of the railway to the ending (i.e., the egress direction).

Fixed signage and method for use of same
A fixed signage (10) and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, a housing (22) having a window (24) is sized to house a sign (26) therein. A closure assembly (32), under the power of an actuator (112), is installed in the housing (22) to support a cover material (34). The cover material (34) is moveable by a moveable closure member (138) between a fully retracted position whereat the cover material (34) is contained within the housing (22) such that the window (24) is exposed to a fully extended position whereat the cover material (34) covers at least a portion of the window (24). A command signal (180) may be received via a transceiver (160) to remotely control the actuator (112) and cover material (34). A signal sensor (60) within the housing (22) indicates the location of the cover material (34).
