TURNOUT CONTROL METHOD, OBJECT CONTROLLER OC, AND VEHICLE ON-BOARD CONTROLLER
A turnout control method is applicable to an object controller and includes the following actions: receiving, within a first time, applications to use a turnout sent by a first train and a second train in sequence; in response to that the first train and the second train are located on opposite sides of the turnout, returning a reply to the second train that the turnout is requisitioned by the first train, to cause the second train to establish a communication connection to the first train based on the reply, to compare running plans of the first train and the second train, and to determine a turnout user for the turnout; and in response to receiving a turnout control command sent by the turnout user, controlling the turnout to perform an action according to the turnout control command.
Multi-objective systems and methods for optimally assigning train blocks at a railroad merchandise yard
A method for assigning train blocks at a railroad merchandise yard includes determining, using a first optimization model and historical train block volume data, a first list of train block assignments for a plurality of train blocks and a plurality of classification tracks of a classification bowl. The method further includes displaying the first list of train block assignments generated by the first optimization model if the volume of the train blocks is not greater than the total available track length of the classification tracks. The method further includes determining and displaying, using a second optimization model and the historical train block volume data, a second list of train block assignments for the plurality of train blocks and the plurality of classification tracks of the classification bowl if the volume of the plurality of train blocks is greater than the total available track length of the plurality of classification tracks.

TRAIN SAFETY WARNING SYSTEM
A system for providing train safety warnings can include a train vehicle positioned on and movable along a track, as well as a warning device. The warning device can be associated with a receiving device that is in signal communication with a transmitter, such as a transmitter included on the train vehicle. An emitter of the warning device is configured to output an indication that the train vehicle is approaching based on the signal communication with the transmitter. In some instances, the warning device, and/or the emitter thereof, can be positioned at a same elevation as the track.
SEAMLESS SWITCHOVER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method provide seamless control switchover through an input coupled to a power line and a safety apparatus that actuates if the input remains de-energized for a first time interval. Each of a plurality of subsystems has a control unit that controls a power source to energize the power line and is capable of transitioning between master and slave states. A first switch or second and third switches in series couple the power source to the power line. The first switch is closed during master state operation. The second switch is closed during slave operation and the third switch is open if any subsystem control unit is in master state. The system is configured to open or close the first switch, the second switch, or the third switch responsive to a transition of a control unit to or from master state within the first time interval.

Method of Indicating a Railway Switch Status
Disclosed herein is a method for indicating a status of a railroad switch used in un-signaled (dark) territory utilizing vital audio messages. In one embodiment, the method comprises receiving a DTMF signal from a railway vehicle, initializing control of the switch, and triggering the reporting of a correspondence condition through vital relays or other electronic components.
Railway dark territory switch automation
The system provides a railroad switch for use in un-signaled (dark) territory. In particular, the system includes a plurality of audio messages maintained on a discrete audio board, where a DTMF signal is validated, initializes the control of a switch, and triggers an audio board to report a correspondence condition, where the output of the audio board is checked by a relay status.
