PROVIDING TRIP STATUS IN A VEHICLE
A computer having a processor and memory storing instructions executable by the processor. The computer is programmed to: determine a total trip parameter associated with a destination of an occupant of a vehicle; determine a progress parameter since an outset of an occupant trip; and control a light output of a status assembly, wherein the output represents the parameters.
VEHICLE NAVIGATION AND CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A controller is provided that can receive or determine at least one first location associated with at least a first vehicle belonging to a vehicle group; receive or determine at least one second location associated with at least a second vehicle; and determine a route or lane from a plurality of possible routes or lanes on which the vehicle group is located based at least partly on the at least one first location and on the at least one second location.
SMART TRAIN
According to one embodiment, a method, computer system, and computer program product for tracking occupancy on a transit system is provided. The present invention may include receiving passenger information for passengers boarding a public transit system comprising one or more cars; counting the passengers within each of the cars of the public transit system based on the location of each of the passengers; identifying, based on the location of each of the passengers, whether each of the passengers is seated or standing; and displaying, based on the counting and identifying of the passengers, the current occupancy of each of the cars.
Light strip device for a door leaf of a boarding system of a rail vehicle
A light strip device to be secured on or in a window jamb of a window opening of a door leaf of a rail vehicle boarding system in a nondestructively releasable manner, wherein the window opening has a window pane. The light strip device has at least: a) one light strip which is provided with a number of light sources arranged in a mutually spaced manner in rows, and b) one holding and installation profile in which the at least one light strip can be received and which is provided with an attachment to the window jamb, wherein c) the holding and installation profile has at least one light through-opening such that light generated by the light sources can penetrate the light through-openings, and the holding and installation profile is opaque with the exception of the light through-openings or d) the holding and installation profile is at least partly transparent.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM
An electronic device includes a voice input unit, a location sensor that acquires location information indicating a current location of the device itself, and a controller that can recognize voice input to the voice input unit. If the controller determines that a user is not carrying out a schedule as planned in schedule information of the user stored in advance based on the schedule information, and at least one of the location information and recognized predetermined voice other than voice of the user, the controller notifies the user of predetermined information.
Navigation system, terminal apparatus, navigation server, navigation apparatus, navigation method, and computer program product
A navigation device presenting guide information based on a photographed image of a boarding guide display item, such as a station name signboard, a roll sign, or a route map, that can be photographed in a station yard. The device acquires a photographed image of a boarding guide display item by controlling the photographing unit, identifies display content from the photographed image of the boarding guide display item of a transportation device acquired and specifying a route, station name, and traveling direction of a current position based on the identified display content and traffic network data stored in the storage unit, extracts station names present in the traveling direction from the traffic network data based on the route, station name, and traveling direction of the current position, and generates guide information including at least part of the extracted station names, and outputs at least part of the generated guide information.
Vehicle monitoring system
A vehicle monitoring system and method receive a selection of at least one vehicle-of-interest onboard a vehicle system moving along one or more routes in a transportation network. The at least one vehicle-of-interest is disposed on the one or more routes in the transportation network. One or more locations of the at least one vehicle-of-interest are monitored from onboard the vehicle system. The one or more locations of the at least one vehicle-of-interest are displayed on a display device disposed onboard the vehicle system. A determination is made whether to change display of the one or more locations of the at least one vehicle-of-interest on the display device based on an update to a notified state of the at least one vehicle-of-interest being received onboard the vehicle system.
