An inspection management system is provided. The inspection management system includes an inspection data provider that receives inspection data relating to an inspector, one or more devices used to complete an inspection, one or more assets associated with an inspection, an inspection plan, etc. A display of the inspection management system presents one or more graphical user interfaces based upon the inspection data. The graphical user interfaces may facilitate inspection planning, execution, preparation, and/or real-time inspection monitoring.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING A VEHICLE
The invention relates to a method, a system (1), an apparatus (13) for controlling a vehicle moving along a track of a transport network, wherein said method comprises a) an acquisition phase, wherein at least one image is acquired by means of video input means (134) on board the vehicle, wherein said at least one image represents at least a portion of the track of the transport network around the vehicle and information displayed by visualization means (14) onboard said vehicle, wherein said information represent at least part of at least one parameter relating to the vehicle and/or said transport network, and b) a processing phase, wherein said displayed information are processed on the basis of said at least one image by processing means (131), thereby allowing to control the vehicle on the basis of said at least one parameter and/or image.
Drive controller of a rail vehicle
A rail vehicle, such as a power car or a locomotive, has a drive and brakes, and a drive controller for controlling the drive and the brakes of the rail vehicle. An operating device for the drive controller has a device for modifying the operating mode of the rail vehicle. The operating device has an operating lever, which can be operated by an operator of the rail vehicle, for operating the drive controller. In order to simplify the operation of the rail vehicle, the function of the operating lever is dependent on the operating mode of the rail vehicle.
ENHANCED TRANSIT LOCATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A computer-implemented method comprises: receiving, at a first one of the first electronic devices, a first wireless signal transmitted by a second electronic device attached to a vehicle; transmitting, from the first electronic device, a second wireless signal, wherein the second electronic device determines a location of the vehicle along the transportation pathway according to the second wireless signal; receiving, at the first electronic device, a third wireless signal transmitted by a second electronic device, wherein the third wireless signal identifies the determined location of the vehicle; and transmitting, from the first electronic device, a fourth wireless signal, wherein the fourth wireless signal identifies the determined location of the vehicle, wherein other ones of the first electronic devices wirelessly relay fifth wireless signals along the transportation pathway, wherein the fifth wireless signals identify the determined location of the vehicle.
TRAIN FOREWARNING BRAKING SYSTEM
A train forewarning braking system is disposed between a train and a track for the train to travel on, is electrically connected to a traffic control center, and has an image monitoring module. The image monitoring module is disposed around the track, is electrically connected to a control system of the train and the traffic control center, and has multiple image capture units and multiple display units. The image capture units are disposed at spaced intervals near the track and are electrically connected to the control system of the train to capture images of the environment around the track. The display units are disposed on the train and the traffic control center, and are electrically connected to the control system to display the images captured by each one of the image capture units.
Arrangement for monitoring exterior regions of a rail vehicle
An assembly monitors exterior regions of a rail vehicle. In the region of the front side of the rail vehicle, a driver's cab is arranged, which driver's cab has a driver's cab field of view in a first direction of travel. A first lateral region has a first camera system oriented in the direction of travel, which optically captures an angular range along the first lateral region as a first lateral field of view. A second lateral region has a second camera system oriented in the direction of travel, which captures an angular range along the second lateral region as a second lateral field of view. The first and second camera systems are connected to a display device so that image series of the lateral fields of view in the first direction of travel are displayed to the traction vehicle driver in addition to the drivers cab field of view.
Vehicle driving assistance method, onboard device, and vehicle having onboard device
A vehicle driving assistance method includes detecting a speed of a vehicle, obtaining a speed limit of the vehicle in a corresponding section of road based on images when the speed of the vehicle exceeds the speed threshold, and issuing a warning when the speed of the vehicle exceeds the speed limit of the vehicle in the corresponding section of road.
COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN END OF TRAIN DEVICE AND HEAD OF TRAIN DEVICE
A device attached to a railcar of a train is provided. The device comprises a radio frequency (RF) transceiver to transmit and receive a RF signal. The device includes a RF modem configured to convert the received RF signal into a low frequency (LF) analog signal. The device includes a digital signal processor to process the LF signal. The digital signal processor includes a phase detector, a loop filter, and a digitally controlled oscillator. The phase detector compares the LF signal and a reference signal to generate an error signal. The phase detector also determines a state of the digital signal processor, the state being one of a lock state or an out of lock state. Further, the phase detector detects an event that the RF signal is lost and generate a loss signal. The loop filter filters the error signal and generates an error control signal. The digitally controlled oscillator generates the reference signal based on the error control signal, the state, and the loss signal.
Instrumented rail system
A deployable vehicle for an instrumented rail system includes a first locomotion module having a first mobility assembly configured to engage a first rail, a second locomotion module having a second mobility assembly configured to engage a second rail, an adjustable frame extendable between the first and second locomotion modules by a distance corresponding to the distance between the first and second rails, and a sensor module removably attachable to the frame. The sensor module includes a sensor suite having a plurality of sensors for gathering data while the vehicle is deployed. The sensor module includes a communications module having a first radio configured to enable the vehicle to establish at least a first communication link with a remotely located mobile base station, and a second radio configured to establish a second communication link with the remotely located mobile base station.
RAILWAY ASSET TRACKING AND MAPPING SYSTEM
A railway asset tracking and mapping system stores positions and visual imagery associated with physical railroad assets such as signals, road crossings, platforms, and mile posts along a segment of a railway track and displays the geographic positions and imagery of those physical assets in simultaneous and correlated track chart, video imagery, and map formats on an integrated interactive display. An associated method of displaying correlated track chart, video imagery an map is also disclosed.
