Ultrasound system for enhanced instrument visualization
An ultrasound imaging system includes a processor programmed to generate an anatomy image and a number of needle frames at different transmit beam angles. The system analyzes the data in the needle frames and selects segments therein that are identified as likely representing an interventional instrument. Data from one or more needle frames are blended with the data for the anatomy image of the tissue to create a composite image of the tissue and the interventional instrument.

Device, system, and method for assessing intravascular pressure
An apparatus for assessing the severity of stenosis in a blood vessel includes an elongate body including a distal portion and a centering assembly. The centering assembly is actuatable to selectively center the elongate body in the vessel. A pressure sensor is disposed adjacent the centering assembly and is configured to detect fluid pressure in the vessel. A processing system receives the measured pressure from the pressure sensor, receives data representing the cross-sectional area of the vessel, receives data representing the size of the distal portion, calculates a offset correlation based on the size of the distal portion and based on the size of the vessel, and calculates a fractional flow reserve (FFR) for the vessel as an index of stenosis severity taking into account the offset correlation and the measured fluid pressure from the pressure sensor.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR THE TREATMENT OF POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME
Described here are methods and systems for the manipulation of ovarian tissues. The methods and systems may be used in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The systems and methods may be useful in the treatment of infertility associated with PCOS.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSESSMENT OF CARDIAC STROKE VOLUME AND VOLUME RESPONSIVENESS
Disclosed are systems and methods using ultrasound to predict if a patient's cardiac stroke volume will increase with a fluid bolus. Ultrasound measures are taken before administering a fluid bolus, including measurement of the left ventricular outflow tract velocity time integral (LVOT VTI), and venous measurements of the internal jugular vein. Data collected from such ultrasound scan is then used to predict the patient's cardiac volume response in the event that a fluid bolus is administered to that patient.
SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING ABLATION TREATMENT AND VISUALIZATION
A system for controlling ablation treatment and visualization is disclosed where the system comprises a tissue ablation instrument having one or more deployable stylets and a first electromagnetic sensor and an ultrasound imaging instrument which may be configured to generate an ultrasound imaging plane and further having a second electromagnetic sensor. An electromagnetic field generator may also be included which is configured for placement in proximity to a patient body and which is further configured to generate an output indicative of a position the first and second electromagnetic sensors relative to one another. Also included is a console in communication with the ablation instrument, ultrasound imaging instrument, and electromagnetic field generator, wherein the console is configured to generate a representative image of the tissue ablation instrument oriented relative to the ultrasound imaging plane and an ablation border or cage based upon a deployment position of the one or more stylets.
ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS
An ultrasound diagnostic apparatus (1), which performs a compression test with respect to at least two points of a popliteal vein and a common femoral vein of a subject, includes an ultrasound probe (15), an image acquisition unit (8) that acquires an ultrasound image by transmitting an ultrasound beam toward the subject from the ultrasound probe (15), a vein detection unit (9) that detects the popliteal vein included in the ultrasound image, and an operation guiding unit (10) that guides a user, in a case where the compression test of the popliteal vein is performed, to operate the ultrasound probe such that the ultrasound probe (15) is positioned at a position in which only one popliteal vein is included in the ultrasound image based on the number of the popliteal veins detected by the vein detection unit (9).

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE GEOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF ELECTRICAL DIPOLE DENSITIES ON THE CARDIAC WALL
Disclosed are devices, systems, and methods for determining the dipole densities on heart walls. In particular, a triangularization of the heart wall is performed in which the dipole density of each of multiple regions correlate to the potential measured at various located within the associated chamber of the heart. To create a database of dipole densities, mapping information recorded by multiple electrodes located on one or more catheters and anatomical information is used. In addition, skin electrodes may be implemented. Additionally, one or more ultrasound elements are provided, such as on a clamp assembly or integral to a mapping electrode, to produce real time images of device components and surrounding structures.
Method and Apparatus for Identification of Imaging Quality of Fetal Ultrasound Images
Disclosed in the present invention are a method and an apparatus for identification of imaging quality of fetal ultrasound images, the method including: acquiring parameters of fetal ultrasound images, used for identification of imaging quality of fetal ultrasound images; identifying an imaging score of fetal ultrasound images based on the parameters thereof; and identifying the imaging quality thereof based on the imaging score thereof. Obviously, it may lead to a quick and accurate identification of the imaging quality of fetal ultrasound images by automatically identifying the imaging quality thereof based on the imaging score thereof, thereby realizing quick and accurate management of the imaging quality thereof so as to facilitate to acquire fetal ultrasound images with high quality, which facilitates the acquisition of accurate fetal growth and development and may have an acknowledgment of the operational standardization of the personnel during the detection of fetal ultrasound images.
