The invention relates to a method, a system (1), an apparatus (13) for controlling a vehicle moving along a track of a transport network, wherein said method comprises a) an acquisition phase, wherein at least one image is acquired by means of video input means (134) on board the vehicle, wherein said at least one image represents at least a portion of the track of the transport network around the vehicle and information displayed by visualization means (14) onboard said vehicle, wherein said information represent at least part of at least one parameter relating to the vehicle and/or said transport network, and b) a processing phase, wherein said displayed information are processed on the basis of said at least one image by processing means (131), thereby allowing to control the vehicle on the basis of said at least one parameter and/or image.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING POTENTIAL DEFICIENCIES IN RAILWAY ENVIRONMENT OBJECTS
In one embodiment, a method includes capturing, by a machine vision device, an image of an object in a railway environment. The machine vision device is attached to a first train car that is moving in a first direction along a first railroad track of the railway environment. The method also includes analyzing, by the machine vision device, the image of the object using one or more machine vision algorithms to determine a value associated with the object. The method further includes determining, by the machine vision device, that the value associated with the object indicates a potential deficiency of the object and communicating, by the machine vision device, an alert to a component external to the first train car. The alert comprises an indication of the potential deficiency of the object.
AUTOMATED POSITIVE TRAIN CONTROL EVENT DATA EXTRACTION AND ANALYSIS ENGINE AND METHOD THEREFOR
A system and method for automating workflow and performing root cause analysis for enforcement events is presented. The system can enable accurate detection of an enforcement event and identifies the root cause of such events. The system can provide a user with an interface to monitor the enforcement event by collecting a list of data characterizing the enforcement event, as well as analyze the data to evaluate what is the root cause of the enforcement event. The system can extract critical information from train system logs of the train using an extraction model to generate a window of activity providing an analysis model with a comprehensive scope to analyze the enforcement event. The system can give the user robust and accurate information of the root cause of the enforcement event.
Vehicle driving assistance method, onboard device, and vehicle having onboard device
A vehicle driving assistance method includes detecting a speed of a vehicle, obtaining a speed limit of the vehicle in a corresponding section of road based on images when the speed of the vehicle exceeds the speed threshold, and issuing a warning when the speed of the vehicle exceeds the speed limit of the vehicle in the corresponding section of road.
Method And System For Maintenance Of A Permanent Way For Rail Vehicles
A method for maintenance of a permanent way, roadway or travel path for rail vehicles includes determining the actual condition of the permanent way by using a measuring system to record measurement data. Objects along the permanent way are detected from the measurement data by using an evaluation device. A detected object is assigned to an object class, and at least one object class identification linked with positional data is stored in a database for a detected object. The actual condition of the permanent way is thus stored in an object-based manner, and a comparison with a target condition or with historic actual conditions is used for the planning and execution of maintenance measures. A maintenance system for executing the method is also provided.
MONITORING SYSTEM FOR TRAIN
A monitoring system for a train is provided. The monitoring system includes an image capturing device configured to capture a video feed of a designated area associated with the train. The monitoring system also includes a controller coupled to the image capturing device. The controller is configured to receive the video feed from the image capturing device. The controller is configured to analyze the video feed to determine if a predefined triggering event has occurred. The controller is configured to record and store a predefined length of the video feed based on the determination. The controller is configured to provide a notification of the recorded video feed to a user through a user interface. The controller is configured to allow the user to access at least a portion of the recorded video feed through the notification.
On-car-data recording apparatus and in-train-image data managing system
An on-car-data recording apparatus mounted on a train to record image data, which is data of a video or an image photographed by an image pickup apparatus set in the train, including: a secret-key retaining unit that retains a secret key paired with a public key for electronic signature for which certification by a certification authority is completed, a train-specific-information managing unit that manages information specific to the own train capable of specifying a traveling position of the own train, an electronic-signature generating unit that integrates, the image data and the information managed by the train-specific-information managing unit, calculates a hash value of obtained integrated data, and generates an electronic signature on the basis of the calculated hash value and the secret key, and an image data managing unit that retains the generated electronic signature and the image data used in generating the electronic signature in association with each other.
