System and method for detecting an intruder on tracks
A track intrusion detection system for detecting the presence of human-size intruders in a path of a railway vehicle is disclosed. The track intrusion detection system includes at least one-track module for each entrance of a tunnel railway and a server. Each track module includes at least two sensors and a signal processing unit to indicate the presence of human intruders in the area scanned by the at least two sensors. The system utilizes both measured distance and reflectivity compared with previously recorded distance and reflectivity in an empty tunnel, to assess the presence of a human-size intruder. A predefined masked area may be excluded from alert.
STRUCTURE DETERIORATION DETECTION SYSTEM, STRUCTURE DETERIORATION DETECTION METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
Provided are a structure deterioration detection system and a structure deterioration detection method capable of detecting deterioration of a structure at low cost. In one example embodiment, a structure deterioration detection system includes an optical fiber cable that is placed along the longitudinal direction of a structure and continuously detects any vibration along the longitudinal direction of the structure, and a signal processing unit including a vibration measurement unit that measures the strength of a detected vibration, a per unit time integration unit that integrates the vibration strength for a specified period of time, an information storage unit that stores the integrated vibration strength, and a deterioration determination unit that makes a determination about whether deterioration of the structure has occurred by comparing the integrated vibration strengths at different times.
Train image monitoring system
Proposed is technology that enables the linked use of a camera and sensor system in a train image monitoring system. A train image monitoring system is characterized by, in a train monitoring system (100), the following: a control device (271) comprising a means for managing the device configuration of the system, a means for receiving data from each device, a means for determining the control contents of each device, and a means for transmitting a control instruction to each device; a recording device comprising a means for receiving data from each device, a means for recording received data, a means for reading out recorded data, a means for transmitting read-out data, and a means for receiving a control instruction; and a display device comprising a means for receiving data from the recording device, a means for displaying received data on a screen, a means for detecting a user operation, a means for transmitting the contents of a user operation, and a means for receiving a control instruction.
RAILROAD TRACK SENSOR SYSTEM
The invention provides a track sensor system for a railroad. The track sensor system includes a track sensor device has, in its interior, a first actuator coupled to a first inductor via a first actuator shaft, and a second actuator coupled to a second inductor via a second actuator shaft. A power system provides power distribution to the actuators and inductors. An input/output communications and railroad computing device provide independent or additional functionality to the track sensor system.

Image synthesizing system and image synthesizing method
An object of the present invention is to improve the image quality of images obtained during travelling even in inferior environmental conditions. A camera 101-1 is mounted in a train 1-1, and a camera 101-2 is mounted in a train 1-2. Each of the camera 101-1 and the camera 101-2 images the same physical object at different times while moving along the same track 5. A processing apparatus 2 generates a synthetic image 7 by synthesizing images related to the same physical object imaged by the cameras 101-1 and 101-2 while moving along the same track 5, and displays the same on a display screen 2A.
Self organizing Cyber Rail-COP
A cyber security system for providing security to a railway system, the system comprising: a data monitoring and processing hub; a network of data collection agents configured to monitor communications transmitted between railway infrastructure and/or rolling stock entities and mirror the communications to the hub; wherein the processing hub comprises computer executable instructions executable to: process the mirrored communications to determine normative patterns of communications between the entities; use the normative patterns to determine sequences of related communications; determine characteristic features of the determined communications sequences; and use the determined characteristic features to determine whether a given communication mirrored to the hub by a data collection agent of the network of data collection agents is anomalous.
DIGITAL CONTEXT-AWARE DATA COLLECTION
Examples relate to digital context aware (DCA) data collection. In some examples, a DCA start location component is positioned at a first location along a travel route, and a DCA end location component is positioned at a second location along the travel route. In response to using a wireless interface to detect the DCA start location component, data collection of measurements by a sensor are initiated. In response to using the wireless interface to detect the DCA end location component, the data collection by the sensor is halted.
ROUTE INSPECTION SYSTEM
A system and method obtain first image data of a route at a location of interest from a first optical sensor disposed onboard a vehicle system moving along the route. The first image data depicts the route at the location of interest prior to passage of the vehicle system over the route at the location of interest. Second image data of the route at the location of interest is obtained from a second optical sensor disposed onboard the vehicle system. The second image data depicts the route at the location of interest after passage of the vehicle system over the route at the location of interest. A determination is made as to whether a change in the route has occurred at the location of interest by comparing the first image data with the second image data.
Rail breakage detection device and rail breakage detection system
A purpose of the invention is to provide a rail breakage detection device mountable also on a vehicle. The invention is directed to a rail breakage detection device that receives: transmission-device state information indicating whether a rail signal transmission device that sends a rail signal is normal; reception-device state information indicating whether a rail signal reception device that receives a voltage induced by the rail signal is normal; and reception state information indicating whether a voltage induced by the rail signal reception device is received, and the rail breakage detection device performs rail breakage detection on the basis of the transmission-device state information, the reception-device state information, and the reception state information.
