The present invention discloses a platform and method for intelligent management of integration of construction and maintenance of rail transportation work, comprising: a work construction information sharing module based on GIS and BIM is configured to realize the integration and data sharing between BIM model of each station and section of the rail transportation and a 3D geological management platform of rail transportation; a work construction informatization management module based on progress control is configured to provide an information control of work preparation plan, contract performance and measurement and pricing, safety and quality investigation, risk early warning and design change in the work construction stage; a rail transportation operation and maintenance module based on the integration of construction and maintenance is configured to provide an information management and control of equipment, materials and safety risk early warning in the rail transportation operation and maintenance stage. The present invention overcomes the shortcomings of single function of traditional technical methods and poor data effectiveness, and improving the sharing of engineering construction data resources, intelligent progress control and traceability of historical problems.

VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING SAFETY PROCEDURE
A system includes a controller, an activation device, and a communication device. The controller may control movement of a first vehicle system absent an operator input onboard the first vehicle system. The controller may control a propulsion system and a braking system of the first vehicle system. The controller may be positioned off-board the first vehicle system. The activation device may receive a status signal indicating a presence of a work marker proximate to the first vehicle system. The communication device may communicate a lockout signal from the activation device to the controller to direct the controller to prevent activation of the propulsion system and engage the braking system to prevent movement of the first vehicle system.

Transit worker warning system
The disclosed technology comprises a system to provide warning of a rail or vehicle approaching a work area for a transit worker or group of transit workers. In some implementations, the disclosed technology includes a sensor station that detects rail or vehicles approaching the work area, which transmits a warning signal to a safety vest worn by workers. In some implementations, the safety vest has a transceiver to receive the warning signal and activates an alarm mounted to the vest. The alarm may be a flashing light or a vibration that can be felt by the vest wearer.
Transit worker warning system
The disclosed technology comprises a system to provide warning of a rail or vehicle approaching a work area for a transit worker or group of transit workers. In some implementations, the disclosed technology includes a sensor station that detects rail or vehicles approaching the work area, which transmits a warning signal to a safety vest worn by workers. In some implementations, the safety vest has a transceiver to receive the warning signal and activates an alarm mounted to the vest. The alarm may be a flashing light or a vibration that can be felt by the vest wearer.
System and method for providing railway worker safety via multiple radios
Systems and methods for alerting rail workers of an oncoming rail vehicle are described. The system and method provide for a vehicle alert device on a rail vehicle. The vehicle alert device has two radios operating at different frequencies. Further provided is a personal alert device worn by a rail worker. The personal alert device has two radios operating at different frequencies. The frequencies of the radios in the vehicle alert device and of the radios in the personal alert device correspond to one another. One of the radios in the vehicle alert device and one of the radios in the personal alert device operate on the same frequency and perform ranging functions. The other radio in the vehicle alert device and the other radio in the personal alert device operate at the same frequency and provide for data communication between the rail worker and the rail vehicle.

The present disclosure generally relates to a rail warning system using wireless portable transmitters/receivers. The rail warning system uses a chirp spread spectrum modulation scheme, and alerts personnel in work zones on or near train tracks as well as optionally, on track equipment and train operators, of approaching trains or on track equipment. Portable wayside devices may also be positioned on the rail web, optionally magnetically, to alert work personnel, allowing for secure placement but also portability to other locations on the same track or adjacent tracks.
