Circuit arrangement for revealing light signal errors
A circuit arrangement for revealing light signal errors, in particular for railway safety systems, includes an electronic signal generator, which can be disconnected in a reversible manner in the event of an error, and a control part, configured for incandescent lamps, for controlling and monitoring the signal generator. The device for revealing errors includes an error differentiator between the line-related interference voltage and error of the signal generator. The reliability of the error differentiation is improved and rendered independent of capacitive intermediate energy storage devices, in that the signal generator is connected to a resistance arrangement such that the signal generator voltage is greater, in high-resistance signal generators, than an interference voltage.

Sub-assembly for searchlight signal, and associated assembly
The invention relates to a sub-assembly for a searchlight signal comprising three distinct light emitting diodes and an interface module for connecting the three diodes to a controller. The interface module comprises: a light input adapted to receive a signal for feeding a light emitting diode, a first relay having an active position and an inactive position, and a second relay having an active position and an inactive position, such that: when the second relay and the first relay are in the inactive position, the light input is fed to a first LED, when the first relay is in the active position, the light input is fed to a second LED, and when the second relay is in the active position, the light input is fed to a third LED.
LED retrofit module for railway signaling
A railway signal replacement lamp module apparatus, including a lamp housing sized to fit within a railway signal housing and a receptacle to contain a solid state light source within the lamp housing. Some embodiments include, in combination with other aspects, at least one spring-loaded connector integral to and positioned within or on the lamp housing to interface with an electrical conductor feature of a railway signal; and a thermally conductive material disposed on an exterior surface of the lamp housing to provide a thermal conduit from an exterior of the lamp housing to an interior of the railway signal housing.
Monitoring system, wayside LED signaling device, and method for monitoring a wayside LED signaling device
A monitoring system for a wayside signaling device includes a light emitting diode (LED) circuit with an LED array, a LED driver unit for driving the LED array, and a mechanism for connecting and disconnecting the LED circuit, and an optical light sensing circuit with a light-controlled variable resistor operably coupled to a resistor driver unit including relay functionality. The LED circuit and the sensing circuit are arranged such that the light-controlled variable resistor monitors an output of the LED array, and that the relay functionality triggers the mechanism to connect or disconnect the LED circuit based on the output of the LED array.
LOCOMOTIVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
A light apparatus for use with a power source and a control switch, the control switch including an input node, an output node and at least first and second independently selectable current paths between the input and output nodes, the first selectable current path having a resistance value that is greater than the second current path, controlling light intensity as a function of which of the current path is selected, at least one light source, a controller linked to the control switch and determining the selected path and generating a control signal and a light driver linked between the output node and the light source, the driver receiving the control signal and adjusting the current applied to the light source as a function of the control signal.
Method and apparatus for revealing errors in the case of a light signal
A method for revealing a light signal error, in particular for railway safety systems, and a device for carrying out the method includes an electronic signal generator, which can be disconnected in a reversible manner in the event of an error, and a control part which is designed for incandescent lamps for controlling and monitoring the signal generator. In order to be able to evaluate the operation of said type of control part with an incandescent lamp interface also when the signal is flashing, it is provided that when the signal generator is activated in the flashing mode, in which no signal voltage is supplied during the flashing intervals, a timer which is connected to a voltage source measures the duration of the pauses between the flashes, and in the event of an error, maintains the disconnection for at least one flashing cycle and signals to the control part.
Derail Warning Light System
The derail warning system may include a solar-powered LED indicator for derail or switch. The derail warning system may also include an orientation sensor that automatically turns on depending on the orientation of the derail (up or down), derail metal flag, or switch indicator flag. The derail warning system may bring more visibility with a 360-degree LED that is solar powered and may detect orientation and turn on based on the position of the derail, switch, or flag. The derail warning system may use a unique acceleration sensor or g-sensor that can detect orientation movement and automatically turn on or off and be fully charged to operate day or night. The derail warning system may also include a data-logging microprocessor to determine a time stamp of position and location.
System and method for railroad smart flasher lamps
A smart lamp system and method for monitoring a status of LEDs. The system can provide LED status monitoring using a logic controller communicating with at least one strip of LEDs. The system can utilize the logic controller to assign a unique identifier (ID) to the at least one strip of LEDs based on a physical position of a plurality of dual-inline package (DIP) switches incorporated within a smart lamp housing.
