Disclosed herein are aspects of wheelbarrows and other similar types of wheeled material transport structures that comprise a plurality of interconnected discrete structural components implemented in a manner that enhances and maintains structural rigidity at the interconnections between such components. In particular, Advantageously, implementation of the interconnected discrete structural components in a manner that enhances and maintains structural rigidity at the interconnections thereof improves operability and longevity of use of wheelbarrows and other similar types of wheeled material transport structures utilize such an implementation of the interconnected discrete structural components.

A wheelbarrow carrier provides transportation and dumping from a connection to a standard trailer hitch or tractor three-point mount. A pivoting ramp is used to load the wheelbarrow and a locking mechanism locks the wheelbarrow foot in place and the ramp in an upward position, once the wheelbarrow has been rolled onto the ramp and the ramp has pivoted from a downward position to an upward level position. In an aspect, there is disclosed an example of apparatus (10) for cleaning a wheelbarrow (12) with a fluid. The apparatus (10) includes a receptacle (16), a filter (18) fittable to the receptacle (16) in a fitted condition and a support arrangement (19) adapted to hold the wheelbarrow (12) in a tipped orientation relative to the receptacle (16) such that matter within a tray of the wheelbarrow is moveable at least partially via gravity into the receptible (16). A releasable wheel assembly includes a bracket having a plurality of bosses, each boss including a hole that receives an axle. A pair of wheels are mounted on the axle and a pair of locking caps fit over respective ends of the axle, the locking caps each including a clip for engaging the axle at a circumferential groove to prevent movement of the locking cap along the axle. The wheel assembly can be mounted to a carry bag or other storage unit by mounting the bracket to the storage unit, where the wheels and axle can be easily removed from the bracket.
