MEASURING OF A PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETER USING A WEARABLE SENSOR
An apparatus comprises a sensor for measuring a physiological parameter of a subject, wherein the physiological parameter sensor is adapted to be worn by the subject; an actuator comprising an electro-active polymer material, EAP, portion for adjusting the position of the physiological parameter sensor relative to the subject; a feedback sensor for measuring movement of the physiological parameter sensor and/or the subject; a controller configured to process the measurements of the feedback sensor and to adjust the position of the actuator based on information from the feedback sensor.
BOUNDARY CORRECTION IN ULTRASOUND IMAGING AND ASSOCIATED DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
An ultrasound imaging system includes a processor circuit in communication with an ultrasound probe. The processor circuit receives, from the ultrasound probe, ultrasound data representative of an ultrasound beam imaging an anatomical structure. The processor circuit determines, based on the ultrasound data, a measured boundary of the anatomical structure. The measured boundary includes multiple locations. The processor circuit determines correction vectors corresponding to the locations of the measured boundary. A magnitude of a respective correction vector is based on a depth of a corresponding location relative to the ultrasound probe and/or an orientation of the measured boundary at the corresponding location relative to the ultrasound beam. The processor circuit applies the correction vectors to the locations of the measured boundary to determine a corrected boundary. The processor circuit outputs, to a display, an ultrasound image based on the ultrasound data. The ultrasound image includes the corrected boundary.
POLYMER GEL AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
When a polymer gel has excellent mechanical strength and an ability to maintain surface wetness for a longer time, the polymer gel may be very widely applied to a variety of fields. The present disclosure provides example embodiments of a polymer gel having excellent mechanical strength and an ability to maintain surface wetness for a longer time. Further, the present disclosure provides example embodiments of a method of preparing the polymer gel.
Methods and apparatuses for packaging an ultrasound-on-a-chip
Described herein are methods and apparatuses for packaging an ultrasound-on-a-chip. An ultrasound-on-a-chip may be coupled to a redistribution layer and to an interposer layer. Encapsulation may encapsulate the ultrasound-on-a-chip device and first metal pillars may extend through the encapsulation and electrically couple to the redistribution layer. Second metal pillars may extend through the interposer layer. The interposer layer may include aluminum nitride. The first metal pillars may be electrically coupled to the second metal pillars. A printed circuit board may be coupled to the interposer layer.
Method and apparatus for releasing security of vehicle
A vehicle security method includes: acquiring an input signal from a sensor unit equipped in a vehicle; setting a detection mode to a heart rate detection mode, in response to a security release operation being started, setting a radar sensor of the sensor unit to detect a target, and detecting heart rate information on the target; determining whether the heart rate information matches pre-stored heart rate information; setting the detection mode to a general detection mode, in response to the heart rate information matching the pre-stored heart rate information, measuring a distance, an azimuth, and/or an elevation angle between the vehicle and the target, and detecting body shape information of the target; determining whether the body shape information matches pre-stored body shape information; and releasing a security of a security device, in response to the body shape information matching the pre-stored body shape information.
Medical imaging data processing apparatus and method
A medical image processing apparatus comprises processing circuitry configured to: obtain a medical imaging data set representative of at least part of at least one surface; render from the medical imaging data set at least one image of the at least part of the at least one surface, wherein the or each image is rendered using a respective lighting configuration; and determine a measure of lighting quality for the or each rendered image; wherein, for the or each rendered image, the determining of the measure of lighting quality comprises, for each of a plurality of locations on the at least part of the at least one surface, determine a correspondence between a curvature of the at least one surface at that location and a lighting value at that location, wherein the lighting value is obtained from the rendering of the image; and determine the measure of lighting quality based on the determined correspondences.
Ultrasonic wave transmission and reception device
Provided is a device that transmits and receives an ultrasonic wave to and from an entire periphery of a specimen while preventing a movement of the specimen. An ultrasonic wave transmission and reception device includes: an oscillator array that is arrayed with an oscillator, the oscillator transmitting and receiving an ultrasonic wave; a fixing tool that is disposed between the oscillator array and the specimen and retains the specimen; and a drive mechanism that presses at least a part of the fixing tool against the specimen as to retain the specimen. An ultrasonic wave transmitted by the oscillator array passes through the fixing tool and irradiates on the specimen, and as for the oscillator array, the oscillator array and the fixing tool are disposed in a positional relationship such that the ultrasonic wave reflected by and/or passing through by the specimen and passing through the fixing tool is received.
Devices and methods for treatment of tissue
Delivery systems, and methods using the same, having an ultrasound viewing window for improved imaging and a needle for ablation treatment of target tissues. In an embodiment, the target tissue is a fibroid within a female's uterus. In an embodiment, the delivery system includes a rigid shaft having a proximal end, a distal end, and an axial passage extending through the rigid shaft. In an embodiment, the axial passage is configured for removably receiving the ultrasound imaging insert having an ultrasound array disposed a distal portion.
PARAMETER LOADER FOR ULTRASOUND PROBE AND RELATED APPARATUS AND METHODS
Programmable ultrasound probes and methods of operation are described. The ultrasound probe may include memory storing parameter data and may also include a parameter loader which loads the parameter data into programmable circuitry of the ultrasound probe. In some instances, the ultrasound probe may include circuitry grouped into modules which may be repeatable and which may be coupled together to allow data to be exchanged between the modules.
APPARATUS
An apparatus that acquires information on an object includes an element that converts an acoustic wave propagating from the object through a holding member into a reception signal at an element position and an information processor that uses the reception signal to generate characteristic information on the object. The information processor determines, for each unit region of the object, whether the unit region is a unit region for numerical analysis in which the delay time of the acoustic wave is acquired by numerical analysis, or a unit region for interpolation in which the delay time is acquired by interpolation processing; performs numerical analysis on the unit region for numerical analysis.
