Mobile body and terminal case to be attached to the same
According to an embodiment, a mobile body acquires product information given to a product to be purchased and transports the product to be purchased. The mobile body includes a cart body, an acquisition device, and a holder. The cart body is moved to transport the product. The acquisition device acquires the product information. The holder detachably holds the acquisition device.
Smart shopping cart, server, smart shopping system and method
The present disclosure relates to a smart shopping cart, a server, a smart shopping system, and a method. The smart shopping cart includes a shopping cart body, an image capturing unit, and a display unit. The image capturing unit is configured to capture an image of a user face, such that the server identifies the image of the user face to obtain user identity information, query a user consumption history database based on the user identity information to obtain user consumption history data, generate user consumption interest data according to the user consumption history data, and generate product push information according to the user consumption interest data. The display unit is configured to receive and display the product push information.
Electronic Trolley Lock System
An electronic trolley lock system and a method for providing trolley service based on a request of a registered user intending to use a trolley enabled with an electronic trolley lock device. The method and system can enable tracking of trolley use and locating abandoned trolleys. The system can also enable performing a transaction when a trolley is unlocked and performing a reverse transaction on return of the trolley by a registered user.
PHYSICAL SHOPPING CHART-TO-MOBILE DEVICE ASSOCIATIONS
In some implementations, a system for providing and managing associations between mobile computing device and physical shopping carts used in retail stores includes a physical shopping cart configured to transport physical goods around a store. The physical shopping cart includes a product detection system that is programmed to detect products that are placed in the physical shopping cart, a wireless transceiver to wirelessly communicate with other devices, and a cart identifier that uniquely identifies the physical shopping cart. The system further includes a mobile computing device that is programmed (i) to obtain the cart identifier for the shopping cart, (ii) to establish an association with the physical shopping cart using the cart identifier, and (iii) once the association between the physical shopping cart and the mobile computing device has been established, to output a user interface that provides a real-time summary of the products in the physical shopping cart.
Shopping cart assembly
A shopping cart assembly includes a shopping cart for carrying purchased items in a retail environment. The shopping cart has a cage and a bottom shelf. A ramp is hingedly coupled to the cage of the shopping cart and the ramp is positionable in an open position for extending into a vehicle thereby facilitating the purchased items to be slid along the ramp into the vehicle for loading the purchased items into the vehicle. A counterweight unit is coupled to the shopping cart and the counterweight unit is actuated when the ramp is positioned in the open position. The counterweight unit transfers counterweight to an opposite side of the shopping cart with respect to the ramp when the counterweight unit is actuated to inhibit the shopping cart from tipping when the purchased items are unloaded from the shopping cart.
SHOPPING CART
The invention relates to a push handle unit of a shopping cart having at least one first and one second end piece, wherein a free-standing gripping unit which rises upward is arranged on at least one end piece, the gripping unit being designed as an object holder for receiving at least one beverage container and/or a scanner and/or a magnifier for enlarging text on a package and/or a handle cap and/or a smart phone.
Storage Means
A storage means for receiving several receptacles for storing and/or transporting goods, the storage means including a base and two side walls arranged parallel to each other extending in an essentially vertical direction from the base. The side walls are made from vertically stacked segments. Two opposite segments each include at least one linear guiding means arranged at an inward facing side of the respective segment opposite to each other for receiving at least one of the receptacles in a sliding manner and supporting the received receptacle in the vertical direction.
Physical shopping cart having features for use in customer checkout of items placed into the shopping cart
Physical shopping carts can have product detection systems and associate physical shopping carts with mobile computing devices (e.g., smartphones, tablet computing devices, smart watches, wearable computing devices). For example, physical shopping carts can be equipped with one or more product detection systems (e.g., scanners, sensors, cameras) that can electronically tally products that are placed in physical shopping carts. Mobile computing devices can be associated with and mounted on the physical shopping carts to provide a variety of enhanced shopping cart features not possible with conventional physical shopping carts, such as electronically tracking the contents of a shopping cart, checking-out from the mobile computing device (instead of at conventional check-out areas, such as point of sale terminals), and others.
Resolving events in item-identifying carts
This disclosure is directed to item-identifying carts that may generate and store image data of items being placed into, or removed from, the carts in the event that a cart is unable to recognize an item. For example, the cart may analyze frames of generated image data, representing item(s) being placed into or removed from the cart, to determine which one or more frames to store. If the cart is later unable to identify such an item, the cart may retrieve one or more of the stored frames, generate a user interface (UI) that includes these frame(s) and a request that a user operating the cart to help identify the item, and present the UI on a display of the cart.
MOBILE REGISTRATION TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR REGISTERING AN AGE-RESTRICTED COMMODITY
A mobile registration terminal for a customer in a store includes a network interface, a display, a scanner, and a processor configured to: when a commodity sold at the store is scanned through the scanner, determine whether the commodity is an age-restricted commodity, upon determining that the commodity is not an age-restricted commodity, register the commodity, and upon determining that the commodity is an age-restricted commodity, control the display to display a screen indicating that an age of the customer needs to be verified by a clerk of the store, and after clerk information about the clerk is input through the scanner, control the network interface to transmit to an external device the clerk information for checkout of the commodity without further verification of the age of the customer.
