Wheeled transport device
20230227091 · 2023-07-20 ·

According to a first aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a wheeled transport device featuring at least one castor which has a wheel and a brake system which has a contact member with one opening which is defined by an edge. The contact member is configured to be manipulated between an applied state, where the edge is in contact with the wheel, and a released state where the edge is not in contact with the wheel.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVED CARGO DOLLY FOR REMOTE CARGO HOLDING PINS FOR A CARGO DOLLY

An improved cargo dolly for transporting cargo is described having a mobile dolly frame, a main shaft on the frame, a lever proximate to a first part of the frame (where the lever is movable relative to the frame and in responsive communication with the main shaft), a first set of transfer sprockets mounted to the main shaft, a secondary shaft rotatably disposed at a second part of the frame (where the first part is remote from the second part), a second set of transfer sprockets mounted to the secondary shaft, a chain disposed about the first set of transfer sprockets and the second set of transfer sprockets, and a locking pin having a first end fixed to the secondary shaft and a second end configured as an angled latch. Rotation of the lever responsively causes the locking pin to remotely rotate at the second part of the frame.

WHEEL BRAKE FOR A WAGON
20230227085 · 2023-07-20 ·

A wheel brake is disclosed to communicate with at least one wheel of a wheeled article (e.g., a wagon) to prevent the wheel from rotating and the wheeled article from rolling away. A toothed locking gear is attached to a hub of the wheel so that the wheel and the locking gear rotate together. A brake pedal of the wheel brake is pivotally connected to the wagon at a wheel bracket thereof to be rotatable in response to a pushing force applied thereto towards and into locking engagement with the locking gear. A coupler (e.g., a locking pin) of the brake pedal is received between a successive pair of teeth of the toothed locking gear, such that the locking gear and the wheel to which the locking gear is attached are unable to rotate, whereby the wheeled article is held in place.

Braking and steering control apparatus for securing and moving an object on a surface
11702123 · 2023-07-18 ·

A braking and steering control apparatus to help a user stop, secure and move an object across a surface. The apparatus is particularly useful for securing and moving objects that are moveably supported on the surface by a wheel assembly, such as a caster, carriage and wheel float. The apparatus attaches to or is integral with a wheel assembly, an object or an item associated with the object. The apparatus has a wheeled action arm assembly, a reaction arm and a plurality of levers, links and pedals that are pivotally connected to the action arm assembly and reaction arm that allow the user to select whether the apparatus will allow safe, easy movement of an object or whether the object will be safely and effectively secured on a surface. The user selects the braking or steering operation and operates the controls using one of his or her feet.

MECHANICAL HAND TRUCKS WITH ENHANCED STAIR CLIMBING AND DESCENDING CAPABILITY
20230219610 · 2023-07-13 ·

A hand truck having a frame with first and second ends and a handle adjacent the first end and a platform extending from the second end. Wheels adjacent the second end support the frame and platform for rolling movement. A lever member with first end pivotally connected to the frame at the first end and second free end. A position stabilizing member is pivotally connected to each side of the frame proximate the second end with each shoe assembly being pivotal to a support position extending below a respective wheel. The free end of the lever member is positioned against a surface and the frame pivoted thereabout with the shoe portion of each shoe assembly moving to the support position. An automatic braking system prevents unwanted downward movement. A repositioned lever member and multiple commonly hinged lever members allow for full stair lifting and elimination of the position stabilizing member.

WHEELED CART WITH BRAKING SYSTEM

A wheeled cart includes a collapsible basket assembly configured to transport a variety of objects placed within. A brake lever arm is pivotably attached to the basket assembly and pivotable about a brake lever arm axis. A brake lever arm distal end is engaged by a user’s foot to move between a released position and a braked position. The brake lever arm includes a brake feature. An inside face of a wheel includes a plurality of stops radially disposed about its axis. In the braked position the brake feature is configured to be positioned between at least two of the plurality of stops of the respective rear wheel thereby preventing rotation of the wheel. In the released position the brake feature is configured to be positioned outside the plurality of stops thereby allowing rotation of the wheel.
