Shopping Cart and Associated Systems and Methods

Exemplary embodiments are generally directed to shopping carts and associated systems and methods. Exemplary embodiments of the shopping cart include a shopping cart body and a plurality of wheels supporting the shopping cart body. Exemplary embodiments of the shopping cart include a receiver configured to detect a position of the shopping cart relative to a range of a network or an area defined by a geo-fence. Exemplary embodiments of the shopping cart include an electromagnetic generator operatively coupled to at least one of the plurality of wheels. A resistive load can be selectively connected between an input and an output of the electromagnetic generator to restrict rotation of the at least one of the plurality of wheels as the position of the shopping cart detected by the receiver varies between within or outside of the range of the network or the area defined by the geo-fence.

UTILITY CART AND DOCKING APPARATUS THERE FOR

Some embodiments include a utility cart. In some embodiments, the utility cart includes an insulated cold storage compartment; a dry storage compartment, the dry storage compartment configured to retract-ably extend horizontally; a base and front and rear wheels connected to the base.

Walking assist device

A walking assist device has a frame, a plurality of wheels, drive units, a battery, and a drive control unit that controls the drive units. The walking assist device also has: a pair of right and left movable handles that are grasped by a user and movable back and forth with respect to the frame in accordance with arm swing performed during walk of the user; handle guide units provided on the frame to guide the movable handles in a movable range that matches the arm swing performed during walk of the user; and a grasp portion state detection unit that detects the state of the movable handles. The drive control unit controls the travel speed of the walking assist device by controlling the drive units on the basis of the state of the movable handles which is detected using the grasp portion state detection unit.

REMOVABLE CART ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLES
20170217358 · 2017-08-03 ·

The present invention is a removable storage system for use in a vehicle which allows a storage cart to be rolled into and out of the vehicle and secured within the vehicle. The storage system includes a support assembly adapted to be mounted within a vehicle. The support system has at least one horizontal member extending along the longitudinal side of the vehicle. The movable cart has at least one surface for supporting items, and a locking mechanism for locking the cart to the support system. The horizontal member includes at least one retention member to resist movement of the moveable cart in the longitudinal direction. The locking mechanism engages the horizontal member to lock the cart to the horizontal member to resist movement of the moveable cart in the lateral direction.

Parcel cart

A parcel cart for transporting parcels comprises a substructure, with a frame mounted to and supported by the substructure. The frame defines an internal volume in which parcels are received and stored for transport. The frame also includes: a base; a first end wall; a second end wall; a first side wall; and a second side wall. To facilitate loading or unloading of the parcel cart, the frame can include at least one end wall configured to transition between an upright position and a lowered position. To facilitate autonomous transport of the parcel cart, the substructure and the frame can define a cavity for receiving a mobile robot. To avoid occlusion of the field of view of one or more cameras associated with the mobile robot, the frame can include at least one end wall that is in a non-perpendicular orientation relative to the base.

CASTER ANTI-TILT DEVICE
20220048320 · 2022-02-17 ·

An anti-tilt device for a caster that includes a wheel, rotatably mounted in a frame, for rotation about a rotation axis. The anti-tilt device, comprising first and second face plates; first and second flanges extending from opposing edges of said first plate, each of the first and second flanges wrapping beside the first face plate; first and second flanges extending from opposing edges of said second face plate, each of the first and second flange extending beside the first face plate, to prevent rotation of the first and second face plates when mounted to the caster frame; first and second legs extending from the first second face plates, respectively; and a bar, extending between the first and second legs across a tread face of said caster wheel when mounted to said frame, at a defined angle of the tread face, as measured from a vertical axis extending through said rotation axis, when said caster is level. Each of said first and second legs includes a defined bend to place said bar at said defined angle.
