Diagnostic Service Providing System and Diagnostic Service Providing Method
A diagnostic result is immediately presented using a diagnostic apparatus installed in a diagnostic apparatus installation facility. Provided is a diagnostic service system which includes a diagnostic apparatus installed in a diagnostic apparatus installation facility and performing a diagnosis using a disposable device, a user terminal owned by a user of the diagnostic apparatus, and an information processing apparatus connected with the diagnostic apparatus and the user terminal and gathering a diagnostic result of the diagnostic apparatus, in which the information processing apparatus manages information of the diagnostic result diagnosed by the diagnostic apparatus and information of the user by associating the both with each other, and provides the diagnostic result in accordance with an access from the user terminal of the user.
System for Fall Detection, Fall Prediction, Mobility, Physical and Cognitive Function Analysis
Various embodiments of a system for fall detection, fall prediction, mobility, physical and cognitive function analysis are disclosed. System for fall detection, fall prediction, mobility, physical and cognitive function analysis can receive user data from wearable devices or other sensors and monitors by passive monitoring of the user during normal daily activities and active monitoring of the user during clinically relevant tests. The system can detect falls and alert caregivers in the event of a fall, predict falls and alert user in case there is an imminent fall; analyze, monitor and detect decline in user mobility, physical function and cognitive function, provide relevant feedback to the user or care provider that can be used as targeted information on how to assess, improve, recover or reduce the rate of functional decline.
DEVICE & METHOD FOR SALIVA-BASED ANALYTE TESTING
A multi-chamber saliva-collection device is configured to segregate a saliva sample into at least two aliquots, each of the at least two aliquots being contained within a distinct chamber of the multi-chamber device, wherein the multi-chamber device is useful for performing an instant analyte test and a subsequent DNA confirmation to validate the identity of the tested individual. Related methods for using the device to obtain each of: an analyte test result, and a DNA confirmation of the identity of the individual from which the tested saliva sample, are also disclosed.
DEVICE FOR COLLECTING BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES
The present disclosure relates to a device for collecting one or more biological samples comprising a housing and a collector element, wherein the collector element is configured to allow the passage of liquid, and wherein the collector element extends between a first end and a second end, the first end of the collector element protruding out of the housing for collecting the one or more biological samples, the second end of the collector element being arranged within the housing, and wherein the housing comprises a plurality of hooks for engaging the collector element.
Bodily emission analysis
Apparatus and methods are described for use with a bodily emission of a subject that is disposed within a toilet bowl. While the bodily emission is disposed within the toilet bowl, light is received from the toilet bowl using one or more light sensors. Using a computer processor, intensities of at least two spectral bands that are within a range of 530 nm to 785 nm are determined, by analyzing the received light, and a ratio of the intensities of the two spectral bands is determined. In response thereto, the computer processor determines that there is a presence of blood within the bodily emission. The computer processor generates an output on an output device, at least partially in response thereto. Other applications are also described.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DETERMINING AN INTERVENTION BASED TREATMENT FOR CHRONIC MEDICAL CONDITIONS
Methods and systems for intervention-based treatment for chronic medical conditions are described. In one method, a member of a population is identified as having a disease by identifying an increased level of a biological marker. If the member's levels are elevated or increasing, the method provides an intervention for the member based on the level of the biological marker. For example, the intervention may be a pharmaceutical or lifestyle intervention (e.g., dietary changes).
Methods, Systems, and Devices for Ear Mite Analysis
A method for evaluating a biological sample is disclosed. The method includes: (i) receiving the biological sample in a container comprising a first volume, wherein the container comprises a diluent mixture comprising a diluent and a surfactant; (ii) generating a biological testing sample in the container, wherein the biological testing sample comprises the biological sample and the diluent mixture, and wherein the biological testing sample comprises a second volume; (iii) depositing the biological testing sample from the container into a reservoir of a cartridge, wherein the reservoir is configured to receive the biological testing sample, and wherein the reservoir comprises a third volume; and (iv) analyzing the biological testing sample, wherein analyzing the biological testing sample comprises capturing one or more images of the biological testing sample from an imaging sensor of an imaging device.
Saliva testing system
A method for using saliva to measure at least one substance or physiological parameter of a human or animal subject may involve inserting a first end of a sensor into a handheld saliva testing device. The method may also involve receiving saliva from the subject on a second end of the sensor, moving the saliva from the second end of the sensor to the first end, and processing the saliva with the handheld saliva testing device to provide initial saliva data related to the at least one substance or physiological parameter of the subject. In some embodiments, the sensor remains inserted in the handheld device while the subject deposits saliva on the opposite, free end of the sensor.
BODILY EMISSION ANALYSIS
Apparatus and methods are described for use for use with a bodily emission of a subject that is disposed within a toilet bowl. While the bodily emission is disposed within the toilet bowl, light is received from the toilet bowl using one or more light sensors. Intensities of three or more spectral bands within the received light are determined, by analyzing the received light, and, at least partially in response to the intensities of the three or more spectral bands, a presence of blood within the bodily emission is determined. An output is generated on an output device, at least partially in response thereto. Other applications are also described.
