The present disclosure relates to a bearing surface transporter comprising an upper part for receiving an object to be transported, such as a patient bearing surface of an operating table, and a lower part. The lower part may comprise: at least three castors for manually moving the bearing surface transporter in any horizontal direction, at least one motorized drive wheel/roller, and a lowering mechanism for selectively lowering and raising the at least one drive wheel/roller relative to the castors, wherein the drive wheel(s)/roller(s) assume(s) an upper position for moving the bearing surface transporter manually and a lower position for moving the bearing surface transporter in a motorized manner. The lowering mechanism may have a pedal which can be actuated in an actuation direction, and the lowering mechanism may be designed such that a first actuation of the pedal in the actuation direction lowers the drive wheel(s)/roller(s) from the upper position into the lower position and that a second actuation of the pedal in the actuation direction raises the drive wheel(s)/roller(s) from the lower position into the upper position.

A manually manipulated apparatus supports a piece of equipment beneath a rail car gate of a railroad hopper car during maintenance or removal of the gate. The apparatus has a frame and a support frame attached to the frame. The support frame is selectively raisable and lowerable between a lowered position adjacent to the frame to a raised position extending upwardly above the frame. The support frame has an equipment engagement member which has an upwardly facing surface which is adapted to engage a downwardly facing surface of the equipment when the support frame is in the raised position.

The transportation device has a structure with wheels joined by a shaft to a platform or chassis configured to support a basket, a mat, a seat and/or a tray. The automatic tilt stabilizer is configured to automatically stabilize the inclination of the platform or chassis, and includes a tilt sensor configured to detect an inclination of the platform or chassis, and a motor activated by a microcontroller, configured to correct the inclination of the platform or chassis, so that the platform or chassis returns to a predefined inclination.

When a control device detects lowering of the platform 50 held at a predetermined vertical position and detects an increase in weight of the load on the platform 50 based on an output signal of a rotation sensor that detects rotation of the motor and an output signal of a current sensor that detects a drive current of the motor, the control device controls the motor such that the platform 50 is raised and held at the either the predetermined vertical position or a vertical position lower than that position.

The skis are integral to the stroller can may be deployed by pulling a handle at the bottom rear of the stroller. Pulling the handle causes a first cable to rotate a distribution bar which causes a second cable and a third cable to be pulled. Pulling the second cable causes rotation of the front axle, which pivots the front skis into position below the front wheels. Pulling the third cable causes rotation of the rear axle, which pivots the rear skis into position below the rear wheels. The handle may be placed into a catch to hold the skis in the deployed position. When the handle is released, a torsion spring in each wheel may cause the skis to return to their positions above the wheels.
