System and method for intrauterine insemination

A kit and method for intrauterine insemination is provided. The steps of the method include self-monitoring of a menstrual cycle of a patient by said patient, making an abrasion on the endometrial lining of a uterus of the patient following menstruation by the patient, predicting timing of ovulation by using an ovulation monitoring system or inducing ovulation; preparing sperm for insemination during ovulation by the patient, guiding an intrauterine insemination catheter accompanied by a cervical shield into the patient, depositing a semen sample into the uterine cavity or cervical canal, removing the catheter from the body of the patient while using a holding tool to hold the cervical shield in place at the entrance to the uterine cavity, and leaving the cervical shield in place for a predetermined time period.

Provided herein are systems and methods that use an electrochemical aptamer-based (EAB) biosensor to detect a plurality of hormone and/or analyte that can be used for fertility and pregnancy monitoring.

TECHNIQUES FOR PREDICTING MENSTRUAL CYCLE ONSET

Methods, systems, and devices for menstrual cycle onset prediction are described. The method may include receiving physiological data associated with a user from a wearable device, the physiological data including at least temperature data. The method may include fitting the received temperature data to a trigonometric or polynomial function including a plurality of features and calculating a duration between the plurality of features and a corresponding plurality of menstrual cycle onset days. The method may include estimating a future menstrual cycle onset day that the user experiences a first day of a menstrual cycle based on applying the duration to a most recent feature of the trigonometric or polynomial function. In some cases, the method may include causing a graphical user interface of a user device to display an indication of the estimated future menstrual cycle onset day.

Cycle-based sleep coaching

Physiological parameters such as respiratory rate and/or heart rate variability can be measured over time for a user and correlated to physiological and/or hormonal cycles such as the menstrual cycle. By determining the phase of such a cycle in this manner, an automatic coach for the user can recommend phase-specific adjustments to activities such as sleep and exercise.

Methods for increasing genetic progress in a line or breed of swine using sex-selected sperm cells

The invention relates to methods of increasing the genetic progress of a line, breed or herd of swine through the use of sex-selected sperm cells in artificial insemination techniques. The invention also encompasses methods of artificially inseminating a swine via deep intrauterine catheter or via a laparoscopic procedure, which allow the use of reduced doses of sex-selected sperm cells.

OVULATION MONITORING PLATFORM

Provided herein are devices and methods for monitoring biofluids related to ovulation. Such devices include the use of electrochemical aptamer-based (EAB) sensors.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR URINE ANALYSIS

A urine analysis device for positioning within a toilet includes a test assembly having at least one rotatable holder including a plurality of test strips attached to the rotatable holder; an injector configured to inject a controlled volume of urine onto at least one of the test strips; and an analysis system configured to detect a result of urine injection onto the test strip.

USING A HEARABLE TO GENERATE A USER HEALTH INDICATOR BASED ON USER TEMPERATURE

A hearable comprises a wearable structure including a speaker, a sensor, and a temperature compensating circuit which measures temperature in an environment of the sensor. A portion of the wearable structure, which includes the sensor and temperature compensating circuit, is disposed within a user’s ear when in use. A sensor processing unit which is communicatively coupled with the temperature compensating circuit: acquires temperature data from the temperature compensating circuit while the portion of the wearable structure is disposed within the ear of the user; builds a baseline model of normal temperature for the user; and compares a temperature measurement acquired from the temperature compensating circuit to the baseline model. In response to the comparison showing a deviation beyond a preset threshold from the baseline model, the sensor processing unit generates a health indicator for the user which is used to monitor an aspect of health of the user.
