Wheel Float with Improved Pivot Joints
20170166006 · 2017-06-15 ·

A wheel float that articulates in multiple directions for efficiently and safely moving an object across a surface having a non-planar obstruction. The wheel float has a pair of walking beam assemblies, a crosstube assembly having a crosstube interconnecting the walking beam assemblies, a pedestal supported by the crosstube and a center pivot assembly that allows the crosstube assembly to pivot relative to the pedestal. The pedestal has a support surface that supports the object above the walking beam assemblies. Each walking beam assembly has a base plate, wheeled casters, a pair of spaced apart hangers and a bushing assembly associated with an articulation opening in each of the hangers. Pivot members at the ends of the crosstube assembly engage the hanger bushings to allow the respective walking beam assembly to pivot relative to the crosstube. Thrust blocks or locating plates position the walking beam assemblies on the crosstube assembly.

Caster Adapter for Hand Truck

A caster adapter is used for adapting a plurality of caster wheels onto a hand truck of the type having a backing frame extending longitudinally between a handle portion at a top end and a toe plate at a bottom end. The adapter includes a frame assembly mounting the caster wheel assemblies thereon for rolling movement along a ground surface. A pair of pivot couplings on the frame assembly pivotally couple the frame assembly on the backing frame of the hand truck for pivotal movement about a tilt axis which is parallel to the toe plate and proximate to the bottom end of the backing frame.

EQUIPMENT TRANSPORT APPARATUS

An equipment transport apparatus is designed to facilitate the transportation or movement of a piece of equipment by a single user. The equipment transport apparatus includes a coupling block configured for being attached to the piece of equipment in a fixed position, a wheel assembly rotatably coupled to the coupling block, and a position selector coupled to the wheel assembly. The wheel assembly is configured to rotate relative to the coupling block between a deployed configuration and a stowed configuration. The coupling block has a wheel positioning flange having a first opening and a second opening and the position selector is configured to engage with the first opening when the wheel assembly is in the deployed configuration and with the second opening when the wheel assembly is in the stowed configuration. The apparatus provides a safer, more efficient, and user-friendly solution to the challenges associated with equipment transportation.

Transport device having a rolling body

A transport device, in particular for transporting luggage, includes a support structure, a coupling element or a handle and a rolling body in addition to a transport container for receiving objects, in particular luggage. The rolling body has a rotational symmetry and is configured such that it tapers in diameter towards the ends along the axis of symmetry. Because of the arrangement and design of the transport container, the transport device is self-stabilizing in operative use.

MULTI-PURPOSE CART

A multi-purpose cart includes a frame that defines a volume. At a bottom rear of the frame there are rear wheels disposed on opposite sides of the frame. One or more freely turning front wheels are located at the front of the frame. The bottom or floor of the frame is sloped downward from front to back to encourage placing items into the frame towards the back of the frame. A handle extension is provided at the rear of the cart that alternatively allows connection of a handle to facilitate pushing the multi-purpose cart by a person, as well as to connect to a towing assembly to allow the multi-purpose cart to be towed behind a bicycle and maintain the multi-purpose cart in a tilted position so that the rear wheels remain on the ground and the front wheels are raised above, and not touching the ground.
