Device for the steering assistance of a vehicle combination
A device for the steering assistance of a vehicle combination of a towing vehicle and an attached implement in which the attached implement swivels at a rear coupling point of the towing vehicle. The implement includes wheels that are arranged on opposite sides, which can be acted on by the control of corresponding individual wheel drives, independently of one another, with a drive torque. An electronic control unit applies a yawing moment to the implement by the asymmetrical control of the individual wheel drives in such a way that a transverse force exerted on the towing vehicle through the rear coupling point, builds up in the sense of the attainment of a pre-specified steering behavior of the vehicle combination.
Lawn care vehicle brake system with improved brake cable actuation
A riding lawn care vehicle (10) includes first and second drive wheels (32), a steering lever (34), a brake assembly (110), and a mechanical brake linkage assembly (120) including a cable tensioner (250). The brake assembly (110) may be operably coupled to at least one of the first and second drive wheels (32) to enable brakes to be selectively applied to the first and second drive wheels (32) based on a position of the steering lever (34). The cable tensioner (250) may be configured to activate the brake assembly (110) relative to the at least one of the first and second drive wheels (32) in response to the steering lever (34) being moved outwardly to an outboard position. The mechanical linkage assembly (120) may be configured to provide a greater amount of rotation of the cable tensioner (250) than a magnitude of rotation of the steering lever (34) when the steering lever (34) is moved from the inboard position to the outboard position.
VARIABLE ENGINE SPEED CONTROL
Power machines, control systems and methods that adjust engine speed based upon actuation of user input controls that control other power machine functions such as travel functions and lift arm functions. By controlling engine speed at least partially in response to the user input devices controlling other machine functions, more optimal engine speeds can be achieved.
TRACKED UTILITY VEHICLE
Utility vehicle power machines with a frame, single left and right side tracks or tractive elements, a cab, a box supported toward the rear of the frame, and a lift arm supported toward the front of the frame. The utility vehicle power machines can have removable covers on a front of the frame, forward of the cab to provide access to various components.

Control system for a vehicle
A control system is disclosed for use in a zero turn vehicle, including an electric controller in communication with a pair of independent drive units. A joystick provides user inputs to the controller to control the rotational speed and direction of the drive units. The joystick includes a vertical stalk pivotable between a plurality of pivot positions, where each of the plurality of pivot positions corresponds to a particular rotational speed and direction of each of the driven wheels. A selector switch may be used to select one of a plurality of driving modes stored in the electric controller, wherein each of the plurality of driving modes maps a different set of speeds and directions for each of the driven wheels onto the plurality of pivot positions. The joystick may also rotate about a vertical axis to provide zero turn capability.
TRACKED VEHICLE ARRANGEMENT INCLUDING MAIN VEHICLE AND TRAILER
A new tracked vehicle arrangement with a main vehicle and a trailer, where each of the main vehicle and the trailer have a track assembly on either side, and the tracks of the trailer are driven by the prime mover of the main vehicle. In the longitudinal direction of the main vehicle, only a small fraction (less than 25%) of the length of the main vehicle's cab, which is mounted above the frame, overlies the main vehicle's track assemblies, whereas the fuel tank is located between the cab and the prime mover. In a widthwise direction of the tracked vehicle, the fuel tank at least partly overlies the right and left track assemblies. This provides a counterbalance for the trailer, which has a platform attached by a first pivotable connection to the frame of the main vehicle and by a second pivotable connection to the frame of the trailer.
UTILITY MACHINE OPERABLE IN STAND-ON AND WALK-BEHIND MODES
A utility machine, such as an outdoor power equipment unit such as a lawn mower, includes a work unit performing work in addition to motive power for the utility machine and a trailer occupied by an operator in a standing position. The operator may seamlessly step onto the trailer to operate the machine in stand-on mode and step off the trailer to operate the machine in walk-behind mode. The trailer remains in the deployed condition in both stand-on mode and walk-behind mode.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE MOVEMENT OF A MOBILE MINING MACHINE
The present disclosure relates to a system and a method of controlling the movement of a tracked mobile mining machine having one or more articulated vehicle units. The control system works by taking input from manual or automated input means, the input serving as a set operating value for at least one driving parameter. The controller generates control signals, which are sent to regulating means that actuate the motor of the mobile mining machine. Using sensors on the machine, actual values of the driving parameter are measured in real-time and fed to the controller for comparison with the original set values. Any difference in the values is compensated for when the controller sends control signals to the regulating means causing readjustment of the driving parameter of the mining machine. The control system is applicable to crawler-driven powered vehicle units to ensure synchronous crawler movement for both linear and non-linear paths.
