ENDOCYTE CANNULA
An endocyte cannula is designed to provide improved and more productive Pap smear tests. The endocyte cannula includes a proximal portion and a distal portion. The proximal portion may include a fitting to connect to a user-actuated tool, such as a syringe. The distal portion may include a corkscrew feature to facilitate movement of the cannula through dense tissue. The distal portion may further include a plurality of apertures to aspirate mucus and reduce the risk of trauma or perforation.
EXTERNAL CATHETER WITH URINALYSIS CAPABILITIES AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Examples relate to devices, systems, and methods for urine collection. A urine collection assembly may include a fluid impermeable barrier defining at least a chamber, at least one opening and a fluid outlet. The urine collection assembly may also include a conduit having a first end disposed in the chamber, at least one porous material disposed in the chamber, and a urinalysis device disposed in the fluid collection assembly.
Liquid activated devices and systems
The present invention relates to systems, devices, kits, and methods employing liquid activated devices and systems. In certain embodiments, the liquid activated devices comprise a base substrate and a chamber sealing system (CSS) and/or a sealed reservoir system (SRS). In some embodiments, the CSS is sealed inside the reservoir of the SRS by a liquid degradable membrane. In particular embodiments, a liquid (e.g., saliva) un-seals the reservoir exposing the CSS, which seals the micro-chamber therein upon exposure to the liquid (e.g., trapping some of the liquid in the micro-chamber for analysis).
Assistive device for removing a biological sample from an intraosseous device, and related kits and methods
Assistive apparatuses or devices, kits, and methods for assisting with removal of a biological sample from an intraosseous device are described. Some of the present assistive apparatuses comprise: a body including a first end and a second end, and defining a channel with a first portion having a first transverse dimension, a second portion disposed between the first portion and the second end and having a second transverse dimension that is smaller than the first transvers dimension, and a longitudinal axis extending through the first portion and the second portion, the body further including a protrusion extending laterally outward relative to the longitudinal axis; where the channel is configured to receive a portion of an intraosseous device having a hub and a cannula extending from the hub, with the first portion of the channel receiving a part of the hub, and the second portion of the channel receiving a part of the cannula while preventing passage of the hub through the second portion.
Collection device with a valve for a liquid specimen
Collection devices with valves for liquid specimens are disclosed. In an embodiment, the disclosure provides a collection device including a reservoir having a sealed cavity, the sealed cavity being under a negative pressure; a delivery tube in communication with the sealed cavity of the reservoir and having a delivery inlet, a delivery outlet, and a valve disposed between the delivery inlet and the delivery outlet, the valve being configured to control the communication and blocking between the delivery inlet and the delivery outlet, and an angle being formed by an extension line of the delivery inlet an extension line of the delivery outlet; and a piercing component for piercing a tissue is connected with the delivery inlet of the delivery tube.
