VEHICLE FRONT PORTION STRUCTURE
A vehicle front portion structure that includes: a first lateral connecting member that is disposed between a pair of left and right front side members, and that connects the pair of left and right front side members parallel to a vehicle transverse direction, wherein vehicle longitudinal direction positions of portions, to which the first lateral connecting member is joined, at the pair of left and right front side members coincide with vehicle longitudinal direction positions of portions, to which front side joining portions of a suspension member are joined, at the pair of left and right front side members.

Vehicle body structure
A vehicle body structure includes a front side member, a body attachment structure and an off-center impact structure. The body attachment structure is attached to an outboard wall of the front side member along a front-section forward of an outboard opening and extends in an outboard direction from the front side member. The off-center impact structure has an elongated member with a straight portion that extends through the outboard opening and into a hollow interior of the front side member. The elongated member is fixedly coupled to the outboard wall of the front side member adjacent to, spaced apart from and rearward of the body attachment structure. In response to an impact event of an off-center impact test the body attachment structure deforms and moves into contact with the elongated member transferring impact force to the elongated member.

Tapered crush can
Crush cans for motor vehicles are provided herein. An example crush can includes a first open end, a second open end, and a longitudinal axis running from the first open end to the second open end. The crush can further includes a top wall, a bottom wall, a first side wall and a second side wall. The top wall and the bottom wall taper from the second open end towards the first open end. The crush can uniformly collapses when under compressive forces along the longitudinal axis.
VEHICLE LOWER PORTION STRUCTURE
The present disclosure provides a vehicle lower portion structure including: a case main body portion, disposed at a vehicle lower side of a vehicle cabin floor and including a bottom wall and peripheral walls that extend toward a vehicle upper side from a peripheral edge portion of the bottom wall, and accommodating a battery at an interior thereof; a front portion extending portion formed integrally with the case main body portion at a vehicle front side of the case main body portion, at the peripheral wall that is at a vehicle front side of the case main body portion; and an impact absorbing portion, extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction and deforming due to input of collision load from a vehicle front side, a rear end portion of the impact absorbing portion being connected to a vehicle front side region of the front portion extending portion.
VEHICLE
A vehicle includes: a vehicle interior; a front room provided on a front side of the vehicle interior; a luggage room provided in a rear side of the vehicle interior; a weight part which includes at least one of a drive unit to drive a vehicle wheel and a power source to supply fuel or power to the drive unit; and a battery. The weight part includes a first weight part and a second weight part, at least one of the first weight part and the second weight part includes the drive unit, the battery is provided below the vehicle interior, the first weight part is provided in the front room, the second weight part is provided below the luggage room, and a height of the second weight part is lower than a height of the first weight part.
AUTOMOTIVE FRONT SIDE FRAME
An automotive front side frame including a bent portion having a bent form, in at least a portion, comprises an outer frame including a front outer portion and a rear outer portion disposed further to a rear of a vehicle frame than the front outer portion and formed to have tensile strength higher than tensile strength of the front outer portion; and an inner frame including a front inner portion and a rear inner portion disposed further to the rear of the vehicle frame than the front inner portion and formed to have tensile strength higher than tensile strength of the front inner portion.
Vehicle body structure
A vehicle body structure a front side member, a body attachment structure fixed to the front side member and an off-center impact structure. The off-center impact structure has a linearly shaped first elongated member defining a first end portion, a mid-section portion and a second end portion. The first end portion extends through a first outboard opening into a hollow interior of the front side member and is rigidly connected to the front side member forward of the body attachment structure. The mid-section portion is connected to an outboard wall of the front side member. The second end portion extends in an outboard direction away from the outboard wall such that in response to an impact event during an off-center impact test the mid-section of the first elongated member deforms with the second end portion moving rearward into contact with the body attachment structure.
Modular Platform for Vehicle
A modular platform for a vehicle includes a scalable frame structure. The scalable frame structure includes a front frame portion configured to receive a front vehicle suspension, a rear frame portion configured to receive a rear vehicle suspension, and a pair of rails extending between the front frame portion and the rear frame portion along opposing sides of the frame structure. A length of the pair of rails is scalable to adjust a wheelbase of the vehicle between the front vehicle suspension and the rear vehicle suspension. A battery pack is supported on the frame structure.
