APPARATUS FOR DETECTING ANALYTE IN A LIQUID SAMPLE
The present invention discloses an apparatus for detecting analyte in a liquid sample, comprising a cup body; a first receiving area for receiving a liquid sample; a flow-guiding channel through which a sample can be added or collected; the flow-guiding channel is in communication with the first receiving area, the bottom surface of the flow-guiding channel is a slope; wherein, the first receiving area and the flow-guiding channel are disposed in the cup body; the apparatus further comprises a secondary sampling port; the flow-guiding channel is a groove, in which is provided with a second receiving area; and the second receiving area includes a corner area for collecting samples for secondary sampling. The present invention further provides a method of using the apparatus for detecting an analyte in a liquid sample. The apparatus of the present invention can be used for detecting the presence or amount of an analyte in a liquid sample. When a liquid sample has extremely poor fluidity and/or the sample size is very small, the apparatus is still capable of detecting liquid samples, to facilitate operators to draw liquid samples for second confirmatory detection.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AUTOMATIC ANALYSIS SYSTEM, AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
Provided is an image processing apparatus, an automatic analysis system, and an image processing method capable of determining a state of a container or a state of a collection target based on an image acquired by a single camera. The image processing apparatus includes: an image acquisition unit configured to acquire an upper image that is an image obtained by capturing an image of a container accommodating a collection target including a sample, a reagent, and a reaction solution from above; a region calculation unit configured to calculate an edge region of the container or an upper surface region of the collection target from the upper image; and a state determination unit configured to determine a state of the container or a state of the collection target based on the edge region or the upper surface region.
Devices, systems, and methods for epidermal tissue harvesting
In one instance, a medical device for harvesting epidermal tissue from a patient includes a first compartment that is mateable with a second, disposable compartment that goes against the skin. The first compartment has a floor that is formed, at least in part, by a first printed circuit board. The ceiling of the second, disposable compartment is formed at least in part by a second printed circuit board that electrically couples with the first printed circuit board when in a mated position. Suction is delivered to the second compartment to pull skin through apertures on the floor of the second compartment to form blisters that are harvested to obtain epidermal tissue. The first compartment remains uncontaminated in use and the second compartment is disposable. Other features are presented; some of which include a thermal sensor in the second compartment for temperature control, clear side walls, and a distributed heating element.
MICROBIAL COLLECTION FORMULATIONS, DEVICES AND SYSTEMS
The present disclosure provides devices, systems, kits, methods, and compositions for collecting, storing, transporting, preserving, and culturing anaerobic microorganisms obtained from a subject or a biological sample of the subject (e.g., a human subject).
Apparatus for detecting analyte in a liquid sample and method thereof
The present invention provides an apparatus for detecting the presence or absence of an analyte in liquid sample, including: a collection chamber, including an opening for collecting a liquid sample; a testing element for testing the analyte in liquid sample; and a cover for covering the opening of the collection chamber; wherein the apparatus further includes a prompting device for prompting if the cover is covered to a specified location, and the prompting device shall at least includes a first element and a second element, the first element is in contact with the second element, wherein one element vibrates to produce a sound. In some preferred ways, the second element produces friction with the first element, to cause one of the elements to generate vibrations. The apparatus in the present invention can allow the prompting sound to be clear and loud.
Wearable fluidic device and system for sweat collection and extraction
A sweat collection device includes a flexible body having a first, outwardly facing surface and a second, skin-facing surface, and a sweat collection channel formed in the body, the sweat collection channel having a first end defining a sweat inlet port, and a second end defining a sweat outlet port. The sweat inlet port and the sweat outlet port are configured to be closed and sealed such that the sweat collection device and the collected sweat therein may be stored and shipped.
System and method for assuring patient medication and fluid delivery at the clinical point of use
A system for confirmation of fluid delivery to a patient at the clinical point of use is provided. The system includes a wearable electronic device. The wearable electronic device has a housing; at least one imaging sensor associated with the housing; a data transmission interface; a data reporting accessory for providing data to the user; a microprocessor for managing the at least one imaging sensor, the data transmission interface, and the data reporting accessory; and a program for acquiring and processing images from the at least one imaging sensor. The system further includes a fluid delivery apparatus; and one or more identification tags attached to or integrally formed with the fluid delivery apparatus. The program processes an image captured by the at least one imaging sensor to identify the one or more identification tags and acquires fluid delivery apparatus information from the one or more identification tags.
Portable liquid collection device
A portable liquid collection device includes a liquid collector, a guide tube and a liquid collection tube. The liquid collector includes a flowing liquid hole and an anti-slip structure. The guide tube includes two ends, one end connects to the liquid collector, and the other end is in a needle-shaped structure and connects to the liquid collection tube. A gas channel and a liquid channel are disposed in a tube body of the guide tube. The guide tube is provided with an outer annular structure. The liquid collection tube includes a collection tube body and a collection tube cover. The collection tube cover includes a tube cover body and a blocking plug. A placing slot for placing the blocking plug is disposed between the top and the bottom of the tube cover body.
Systems and methods for fluid sample collection and testing
A fluid sample testing apparatus has a fluid collector tube and a fluid collector in fluid communication with a sample holding container. The fluid collector is inserted into and penetrates the fluid collector tube and pressure is generated to release fluid from the fluid collector into the sample holding container, and air passes outside of the apparatus from the fluid collector tube via a vent path. The vent path is sealed with the fluid collector is fully inserted into the fluid collector tube. Indicator or test strips are optionally included in a stem of the fluid collector.
