Car rain guard
11571956 · 2023-02-07 · ·

A car rain guard which includes a rain shield and at least one magnetic member. The rain shield consists of an attach portion and a shield portion integrally extended from the attach portion. The attach portion is attached firmly to a surface above at least one door of a car body. An angle is formed between the attach portion and the shield portion so that the shield portion can be inclined from an inner side to an outer side to repel rain and drain water. The magnetic member is disposed on the attach portion of the rain shield so that the attach portion can be attached to and sealed on the surface detachably by magnetic attraction. Thereby the window can be left down enough, without worrying about rain splashing into the car. The rain guard is applied to a stopped car with an off engine.

METHOD TO REDUCED LATERAL DEFLECTION OF LONGITUDINAL MEMBERS IN SIDE IMPACT

A support plate and reinforcement member may be mounted within a hollow side sill between a rocker and crossmembers for a vehicle framework. The support plate may include flanges along either edge and a straight, projecting face between the flanges. The reinforcement member, mounted on the support plate proximate to an outer surface of the side sill, may include flanges along either edge and a wavy projecting face between the flanges. Contact portions of the projecting face for the reinforcement member may contact an interior of the side sill at regions aligned with where the side sill mounts to the crossmembers, with intervening portions of the projecting face, in areas adjacent energy absorbing crush cans, extending less far from the flanges. The intervening portions may also be laterally offset from the contact portions, to provide larger weld areas.

STRUCTURAL ASSEMBLY WITH PATTERNED PANELS

A structural assembly includes a frame and a plurality of panels. The frame includes a wall that at least partially defines an interior region. The plurality of panels is disposed at least partially in the interior region and is coupled to the frame. The plurality of panels includes a first panel and a second panel. The first panel includes a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The first surface defines a first plurality of depressions and the second surface defines a first plurality of protrusions complementary to the first plurality of depressions. The second panel includes a third surface and a fourth surface opposite the third surface. The third surface defines a second plurality of depressions. The fourth surface defines a second plurality of protrusions complementary to the first plurality of depressions. The first panel is coupled to the second panel.

11486296 · 2022-11-01 · ·

An exhaust gas turbocharger assembly includes a turbocharger, an actuator, and a bolted connection for releasably securing the actuator housing on a housing flange of the turbocharger housing. The bolted connection includes a through opening, an aperture bounded at the circumference by an internal thread made of a metal, and a fit bolt with a bolt body which merges axially into a bolt head. The bolt body has a first axial body section with an external thread formed in a manner complementary to the internal thread of the aperture, and a second axial body section arranged axially between the bolt head and the first body section. The fit bolt engages through the through opening of the actuator housing in the internal thread of the aperture with the external thread to clamp the actuator housing between the housing flange of the turbocharger housing and the bolt head of the fit bolt.
