Hollow-chamber profile for fastening a battery module
A hollow-chamber profile for fastening a battery module in a vehicle includes a first side wall and a second side wall which lies opposite the first side wall, where the first side wall and the second side wall are connected to one another via a bottom wall. Additionally, the hollow-chamber profile has a top wall which lies opposite the bottom wall, where the top wall is designed to interact with at least one fastening device for fastening the battery module. The hollow-chamber profile has at least one intermediate wall which extends between the side walls from the top wall in the direction of the bottom wall, where a wall thickness of the at least one intermediate wall is dimensioned in such a way that the fastening device can be introduced at least partially into the wall thickness of the at least one intermediate wall.
Front vehicle-body structure of vehicle
A front vehicle-body structure of a vehicle is provided that allows for lower deceleration (so-called G) for occupants in the event of an oblique collision, which involves the largest load input, while restraining a load in a shear direction from being input to connecting portions of frames. A front vehicle-body structure of a vehicle includes a suspension housing formed with a suspension damper supporting portion, an upper arm supporting portion, and a lower arm supporting portion. A plurality of frames connecting the suspension housing and a vehicle cabin structural member are provided, and at least one frame of the plurality of frames is configured to be facilitated to break in a Z-shape in vehicle plan view in the event of an oblique collision.
PREPARATION METHOD FOR ALUMINUM ALLOY CAVITY CASTING FILLED WITH SPECIAL-SHAPED FOAMED ALUMINUM
The application discloses a preparation method for an aluminum alloy cavity casting filled with special-shaped foamed aluminum. The preparation method includes: preparing special-shaped foamed aluminum in a first mold by adopting a powder metallurgy foaming method; fixing the special-shaped foamed aluminum coated with the soldering flux in a second mold after the special-shaped foamed aluminum is coated with soldering flux; and casting by using molten aluminum alloy. According to the preparation method for the aluminum alloy cavity casting filled with the special-shaped foamed aluminum, the overall strength of the casting can be improved while the wall thickness of the casting is reduced to meet the requirement that the overall quality of the casting is not increased.
Subframe for a vehicle
A subframe for a vehicle, which comprises a first and second longitudinal member, wherein the longitudinal members extend in a longitudinal direction (x) and are relatively offset in a transverse direction (y) of the subframe, a transverse front member connectable to the first and second longitudinal member at a front section of the subframe, a transverse rear member connectable to the first and second longitudinal member at a rear section of the subframe.
Electric vehicle
An electric vehicle, including, a user compartment and a front section including a portion of a vehicle chassis, a crash absorbing member located in the front section and connected to the portion of the vehicle chassis, the crash absorbing member including a first extruded profile, preferably an aluminum profile, having a main extension direction in a transverse direction (y) of the vehicle, whereby the extrusion direction of the first extruded profile extends substantially in the transverse direction (y) of the vehicle, and wherein further the first extruded profile includes at least two cells (C1, C2) being defined by outer walls and at least one intermediate wall separating the at least two cells (C1, C2), wherein the at least one intermediate wall has a main extension direction in the transverse direction (y) and a second extension direction which extends substantially in a vertical direction (z).
STRUCTURAL COMPONENT
A structural component for a motor vehicle is configured to extend transversely to a direction of travel for the motor vehicle and is configured to separate a passenger compartment and a front compartment of the motor vehicle. The structural component includes: a dashboard; two A-pillars arranged in each case laterally with respect to the dashboard; and a transverse reinforcement running along an upper side of the dashboard. The structural component is one-part or a one-piece light-metal die casting.
VEHICLE RUNNING BOARD AND RUNNING BOARD MANUFACTURING METHOD
A vehicle running board assembly includes, among other things, a reinforcing insert, and a beam that is extruded over the reinforcing insert. A step pad is extruded over the beam. A vehicle running board manufacturing method according to another exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, extruding a beam over a reinforcing insert, extruding a step pad over the beam, and cutting the beam, the reinforcing insert, and the step pad to provide the running board.
DIRECTED ENERGY DEPOSITION (DED) REINFORCEMENTS ON BODY STRUCTURES AND VISIBLE SHEET METAL SURFACES
A part includes a sheet metal component having a predefined shape and at least one additively manufactured reinforcement deposited on, metallurgically bonded to, and extending along a surface of the sheet metal component. The at least one additively manufactured reinforcement can be a directed energy deposition (DED) reinforcement rib. Also, the at least one additively manufactured reinforcement can be deposited on the piece of sheet metal before the piece of sheet metal is formed into the predefined shape, or in the alternative, the at least one additively manufactured reinforcement can be deposited on the piece of sheet metal after the piece of sheet metal is formed into the predefined shape.
PICKUP TRUCK CARGO BED UTILITY WALL
A utility wall for a pickup truck includes: a first portion disposed along a first plane and including alternating first and second vertical columns of apertures, where: the first vertical columns include a vertically repeating pattern including: first rectangular apertures with longer sides oriented in a first direction; ovular apertures; and circular apertures; and the second vertical columns include second rectangular apertures with longer sides oriented in a second direction that is different than the first direction; second and third portions disposed along a second plane that is parallel to the first plane, the second and third portions including bolt apertures through which bolts can extend to bolt the utility wall to the pickup truck; a first c-shaped portion that connects a first end of the first portion to the second portion; and a second c-shaped portion that connects a second end of the first portion to the third portion.
Trailer
A trailer having a plurality of elongate floor members, each of the floor members connected to an adjacent floor member to define a floor of the trailer, side wall members attached to opposed sides of the floor, an axle assembly attached to the side wall members, and a tongue assembly attached to the side wall members.
