Implant and filament management device
A variety of configurations of implant management devices are provided. The configurations provide different combinations of features for maintaining a location of an implant with respect to the device and managing filaments of the implant. One exemplary embodiment of a device includes a generally rectangular-shaped body having an implantable body retainer, an opening disposed a distance apart from the retainer and configured to receive a ligament graft therein, and a fold extending across the body and intersecting the opening. Folding one end of the body towards a bottom surface of the body along the fold can form a filament loop engaging region to hold in tension a filament loop extending from the implant. Additional filament(s) associated with the implant can be managed by various filament retention features. Methods for preparing a ligament graft for implantation by relying upon indicia formed on a surface of the device body are also provided.
CONDITIONING DEVICE FOR CONDITIONING AN EXPOSED STRETCH OF A BLOOD VESSEL AND METHOD OF COLLECTING AUTOLOGOUS MATERIAL FOR GRAFTS
A conditioning device for conditioning an exposed stretch of a blood vessel has an envelope and at least one conveying channel extending entirely within the envelope. The envelope has a first layer having a first surface facing the exposed stretch, and a second layer having a second surface, opposite to the first surface. The at least one conveying channel has at least one first aperture leading out of the envelope, so that the at least one conveying channel is suppliable with working fluid through the at least one first aperture. The first layer is permeable to at least one component of the working fluid, so that, when the working fluid is in the at least one conveying channel, the at least one component, permeating the first layer, diffuses until reaching the first surface to apply a conditioning action on the exposed stretch of the blood vessel.
Vessel harvesting apparatus and method
An apparatus for harvesting a vessel from a body, includes: a cannula having a dissector for advancing along the vessel to create a tunnel, the dissector having a transparent portion; and an energy tool moveably coupled to the cannula, wherein the energy tool is configured to separate a pediculated vessel having at least a segment of the vessel and a pedicle around the segment of the vessel from surrounding tissue, and wherein at least a part of the energy tool is visible through the transparent portion of the dissector during use of the energy tool.
DEVICE FOR VESSEL SUPPORT AND HARVESTING
Another surgical device is also disclosed. The surgical device includes a flexible distal tip, which may also include a distal opening, a shaft interface opening on a proximal end of the flexible distal tip, an intermediate opening located between the distal opening and the shaft interface opening, and a channel coupling the shaft interface opening and the intermediate opening. The device may also include a hollow shaft connected to the shaft interface opening, a handle coupled to the hollow shaft, a suture locking device slidable within the handle, and a sliding actuator coupled to the hollow shaft.
Surgical devices and systems for minimally-invasive vessel-harvesting and other surgical procedures
A visualization tissue retractor includes a handle defining a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, a dock extending from the proximal end portion of the handle and configured to receive a portable display device, a retractor arm extending from the distal end portion of the handle and defining a guide track disposed along at least a portion of a length thereof, and a surgical camera assembly engaged with the guide track and configured to slide therealong.
Patella cutting guide
A guide is disclosed that operates to guide in the creation of a bone spur to facilitate harvesting a quadriceps tendon and includes an end having a width equal to a desired graft width with a terminal slope equal to a cutting angle desired. In use, the guide may be initially positioned parallel to the femur to form guide cuts in the patella. The guide is then rotated ninety degrees to allow an angled cut at the guide cut. The guide is again rotated, this time one hundred eighty degrees and a second angled cut made on the other guide cut. A final lateral cut is made and the bone spur may be lifted from the patella.
SURGICAL DEVICE CONFIGURED TO STRIP AND CUT TENDON
This disclosure relates to a surgical device configured to both strip and cut a tendon. The harvested tendon can be used in various orthopedic procedures, such as ACL, PCL, and UCL reconstructions.
SURGICAL INSTRUMENT FOR GRAFT HARVESTING
Instruments and methods for harvesting a tissue structure such that a tendon graft are provided. In general, the surgical instrument includes an elongate shaft and an end effector pivotally coupled to a distal end thereof. The end effector defines a tissue seating passage configured to seat therethrough a portion of the tendon when the end effector is in use. The end effector is configured to be manipulated such that either its first or second end is positioned as a leading end. A method for using the end effector to harvest a tendon includes using the end effector to strip and cut the tendon at one end thereof when the first end of the end effector is a leading end, manipulating the end effector such that its second end becomes the leading end, and using the end effector to strip and cut the tendon at another, opposite end thereof.

Retrieval of material from vessel lumens
Devices for removing clot material from a blood vessel lumen and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. A clot retrieving device may include, for example, an elongated shaft, a capture structure, a cover, and a connector coupled to the distal zone of elongated shaft. The connector may include an inner band and an outer band. The inner band may at least partially surround the distal zone of the elongated shaft and a portion of the proximal region of the capture structure, and the outer band may at least partially surround the inner band. In some embodiments, the first end portion of the cover may be secured between the inner band and the outer band.
