A freight vehicle on which a drone is docked, may include: a transfer device provided in the vehicle and configured to move up and down between an internal space of the vehicle and a roof to receive freight from the drone through the roof of the vehicle or transfer freight to the drone; and a loadspace separated, as a portion of the internal space of the vehicle, from a space where the transfer device is provided and including an open portion formed on a side or a rear of the vehicle, and onto which the freight is loaded.

A disclosed modular truck bed assembly includes two or more modular truck bed components configured to form a modular truck bed suitable for use with a bedless truck. The modular truck components may include two or more modular components that combine to form a multi-piece bed panel. The modular components that combine to form the multi-piece bed panel may include a center bed module attached between left and right wing bed modules. The center bed panel may be affixed to structural elements of the bedless while the wing bed modules may be attached to the center module. The center bed module may include a center bed panel, with or without a gooseneck hitch, and a center trail panel, without or without a trailer hitch. The assembly may include a vertically adjustable bulkhead positioned forward of the center bed panel and either side of the assembly may include a skirt.

The truck bed shell is capable of being retracted so that the user can have full access to the truck bed and also extended so that the user can have a protected volume at the truck bed in order to store things. The telescoping truck bed has traversable frames and a traversable cover wherein the frames and cover may be traversed between extended and retracted positions depending on whether the truck bed shell is being deployed or stored.

A cargo bed extension system includes: a cargo bed; a tailgate configured to pivot to a down position via one or more first hinges, where the tailgate includes: an outer portion having first lateral sides and one or more second hinges; an inner portion having second lateral sides that are disposed adjacent to the first lateral sides when the tailgate is in the down position, where the inner portion is configured to rotate to a vertical position via the one or more second hinges, where the vertical position is approximately perpendicular to the down position; at least one first extension panel configured to move rearwardly and directly contact the inner portion when the inner portion is in the vertical position; and at least one second extension panel configured to move rearwardly and to directly contact the inner portion when the inner portion is in the vertical position.
