A truck bed extender includes a divider wall that extends in a vehicle lateral direction and side extenders on opposite sides of the divider wall that are configured to slidably connect to tie down rails within the truck bed. The side extenders are pivotally connected to the divider wall so that the side extenders pivot against the divider wall in a stowed configuration.

The device may include one or more sensors, one or more taillights, one or more puddle lights, one or more bed lights, and/or one or more cameras. The device may have a stowed position wherein the device may fold against the tailgate when the device is not in a configuration of the one or more configurations.
