METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A VEHICLE COMBINATION, AND VEHICLE COMBINATION
The invention relates to a method for controlling a vehicle combination (1) consisting of a tractor vehicle (1a) and a semitrailer (1b), wherein at least one support winch (16) having a leg member (16b) and a support foot (16c) fastened to the latter on the bottom side is arranged on the semitrailer (1b), wherein the leg member (16b) can be adjusted between an extended position (S1) and a retracted position, wherein the semitrailer (1b) is coupled to the tractor vehicle (1a) during a coupling operation, and/or the semitrailer (1b) is decoupled from the tractor vehicle (1a) during a decoupling operation. According to the invention, it is provided that the leg member (16b) in question is adjusted in automated fashion between an intermediate position and the extended position (S1), or vice versa, while the vehicle combination (1) is at a standstill and is in the parking position (PA), and/or the leg member (16b) in question is adjusted in automated fashion between the intermediate position (SZ) and the retracted position, or vice versa, while the semitrailer (1b) during the coupling process (AV) is moved away from the parking position (PA) or during the decoupling process (BV) is moved in the direction of the parking position (PA), in particular while the vehicle combination (1) is not at a standstill.
VEHICLE TAILGATE WITH FOLD-UP FENCE
Embodiments of the present invention may include a vehicle tailgate assembly comprising a tailgate with an inside wall, a top edge orthogonal to the inside wall, and a cavity having an opening in the top edge. The assembly may further comprise of a fence mounted to the tailgate in a slidable and pivotal manner between a stowed state and a deployed state. Embodiments of the present invention may further include a method of loading cargo onto a vehicle bed with a tailgate. The method may include lowering the tailgate to a horizontal position, loading the cargo into the vehicle bed, sliding the main fence out of the cavity, rotating the at least one side fence to an at least orthogonal position relative to the main fence, pivoting the main fence about a main fence hinge axis, and locking the at least one side fence to the tailgate.
Electric vehicle solar power system
An electric vehicle solar power system for converting solar radiation into electricity from a solar panel mounted on a hood of a vehicle including a vehicle body including a front end compartment and a hood covering the front end compartment. An electric motor is operatively coupled to the vehicle body, and a battery is electrically coupled to the electric motor. A front solar panel is attached to and faces upwardly from the hood. The front solar panel is electrically coupled to the battery and is configured for converting solar radiation into electricity to charge the battery.

Expandable trailer with variable-pitch wheel carriage
An expandable multiple-axle trailer has a trailer wheel carriage with left and right sub-carriages having corresponding forward-extending sub-carriage extensions, the front ends of which define sub-carriage extension tongues laterally movable within slots in a first transverse trailer structure member while being constrained against longitudinal and vertical movement relative to the trailer, while intermediate regions of the sub-carriage extensions are correspondingly laterally movable within fulcrum slots in a second transverse trailer structure member aft of the first transverse member. The trailer wheel carriage incorporates actuation means for transitioning the trailer wheel carriage assembly between laterally-retracted and laterally-expanded configurations. The slots in the first and second transverse members define guide surfaces angularly oriented such that transitioning to the expanded configuration will alter the longitudinal pitch of the trailer wheel carriage to raise the rearmost axle relative to the forwardmost axle, and vice versa when transitioning to the retracted configuration.

Pickup bed storage system
A pickup bed storage system for storing and organizing objects in a bed of a pickup truck includes a mat that is positionable on the bed and extends between a front end and a rear end of the bed. A pair of rails is coupled to the mat. A container movably coupled to the pair of rails is slidable between the front end and the rear end of the bed. The container has a front wall, a back wall, and a peripheral wall that is coupled to and extends between the front wall and the back wall to define an interior space. The peripheral wall is expandable to adjust a volume of the interior space. A pulley mechanism is coupled to the container and the pair of rails to slide the container along the pair of rails.
