Load divider dolly with active pitch angle adjustment for on-the-fly load distribution
A load divider dolly has: a chassis; ground engaging wheels; a tow vehicle mount pivotally mounted to the chassis; a variable volume element mounted to adjust a pitch angle between the chassis and the tow vehicle mount; and a pressure control system configured to, during use, supply and exhaust fluid such as gas to and from the variable volume element to distribute load between a tow vehicle and the ground engaging wheels of the load divider dolly.
SPARE TIRE MOUNT FOR MOTOR VEHICLE
A spare tire mount for the rear of a motor vehicle has a first outer support frame with a second, inner support frame nested inside and releasably connected to the first frame. Both frames extend laterally across the back of the vehicle and extend upward at an angle. Both frames rotate about a vertical joint at the rear bumper so the frames rotate toward and away from the vehicle. The second frame holds the spare tire and rotates about a horizontal axis. A wire rope winds around a reel on the first frame with the rope connected to the second frame to raise and lower the second frame and tire as they rotate about the first horizontal axistoward and away from the first frame and ground. The reel is rotated by a worm screw and worm wheel.
Quick attachment arm and bracket for supporting a wheel upon a vehicle hoist
A quick attachment arm is provided for securing to an elevated and structurally supporting location. A multi-sided and compressible pair of bands are constructed of a spring-loaded material attached around a perimeter of a tubular cross section supporting location. A member extends form the band and, at a remote end of the member, an elongated arm is pivotally supported to and extends from the member, the arm adapted to supporting a weighted article placed thereupon.

ADJUSTABLE CRADLE FOR MOVEMENT OF AN AUTOMOTIVE SPARE TIRE
A cradle for a spare tire includes a hub, arms extending from the hub, fasteners configured to secure the spare tire to the cradle, and wheels on the arms to support the cradle for movement. The arms have adjustable radial lengths. The fasteners are adjustable for different tire sizes.
USER FRIENDLY APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RETAINING AND REMOVING A SPARE TIRE FROM A STORAGE POSITION IN A MOTOR VEHICLE
An apparatus is provided for retaining a spare tire in a storage position on a motor vehicle. The apparatus includes a retainer assembly and a cooperating post. The retainer assembly includes a housing and a first actuator, a first retainer and a first biasing element carried by the housing. The post includes a retainer receiver wherein the first biasing element biases the first retainer into engagement with the retainer receiver. A related method of removing a spare tire from a storage position in a motor vehicle is also presented.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR WHEEL-ASSEMBLY AND TRACTION-MOTOR CHANGE OUT
Disclosed herein is an apparatus for changing a traction motor and a wheel assembly out of a locomotive. The apparatus is suitable for use in the field. The apparatus comprises: (i) a frame that is dimensioned to fit under the locomotive and within a railroad track; (ii) a wheel-assembly-support system that is configured to support the wheel assembly such that the wheel assembly is clear of the track; (iii) a traction-motor-positioning system that is operable to position the traction motor with respect to the locomotive; and (iv) a drive assembly that is configured to drive the fame, the wheel-assembly-support system, and the traction-motor-positioning system under the locomotive in a reversible manner. The wheel-assembly-support system, the traction-motor-positioning system, and/or the drive assembly is/are operable by way of a remote control. Methods of changing a traction motor and/or wheel assembly out of a locomotive on a track are also provided.
TIRE RACK SECURING SYSTEM
This disclosure relates to the use of modified and specifically adapted e-track storage components to facilitate the security and stabilizing of tires in an existing mounted tire rack. The tire rack could be one mounted on a wall within a storage facility or garage or one mounted in a mobile environment such as the interior or exterior of a trailer.
