10661698 · 2020-05-26 ·

The present invention is a multi-use dynamically reconfigurable vehicle, used for vehicle/ride sharing with integral yet reconfigurable for optimal passenger or courier service by reconfiguring the vehicle interior space and/or body shape specific to the vehicle service to create additional space respectively for the transport of passengers or cargo/boxes. The vehicle is particularly adept at reconfiguration with compatibility of an external automated process to load/unload its cargo while also enabling a high aerodynamic efficiency while in a driving mode.

Utility vehicle transformable cargo box

A utility vehicle transformable cargo box includes a cargo box floor, a first base panel hinged to the front of the cargo box floor, and a second base panel hinged to a front of the first base panel and to a load guard that can slide between a first non-extended position and a second extended position. A pair of side extension panels are pivotably attached to the ends of the load guard, are positioned up against the load guard in the first non-extended position, and extend forward from the cargo box walls in the second extended position.

Vehicle display system and method

A method for a display system of a motor vehicle is provided. The motor vehicle comprises one or more seats for occupants of the vehicle, the position and/or orientation of the seats within an interior of the motor vehicle being variable. The method comprises: determining a position and/or orientation of the seats; determining an orientation at least a first portion of an image to be displayed by the display system according to the position and/or orientation of the seats; and displaying the image such that at least the first portion of the image is in the determined orientation. A display system for a motor vehicle is also provided.

SIDE-BY-SIDE UTILITY VEHICLE

A utility vehicle includes a plurality of ground engaging members and a frame supported by the plurality of ground engaging members. The frame assembly extends generally along a longitudinal axis of the utility vehicle. The utility vehicle further includes a front seating section coupled to the frame. The front seating section is configured to support an operator and a first passenger. Additionally, the utility vehicle includes a rear seating section coupled to the frame. The rear seating section is configured to support a second passenger and a third passenger. The rear seating section has an angled panel configured as a dead pedal for the second and third passengers, and a portion of the rear seating section extends forwardly into the front seating section.

SELECTIVELY PIVOTABLE MID-GATE FOR A VEHICLE

A selectively pivotable mid-gate for a vehicle includes a first mid-gate member pivotally mounted to the vehicle through a hinge member and a second mid-gate member is pivotally mounted to the vehicle and the first mid-gate member through the hinge member. A latch system is operatively connected to the first mid-gate member and the second mid-gate member. The latch system is selectively operable to release the first mid-gate member to rotate in a first direction and to release the first mid-gate member and the second mid-gate member to rotate in a second direction that is opposite the first direction.
