Work Vehicle Material Management Using Moldboard Gates

A work vehicle comprising a material management system using moldboard gates. A sensor is configured to generate a signal indicative of a ground feature and a location of the ground feature. A moldboard is coupled to the work vehicle and is configured to move a ground material. A gate is coupled to the moldboard and a gate actuator is coupled to the gate. The gate actuator is configured to move the gate to an open position, a closed position, or to a position in between. A controller which is in communication with the sensor is configured to receive the signal indicative of the ground feature and the location and control the gate actuator to move the gate based on the ground feature and the location.

COMBINATION VEHICLE, TRAILER, AND TRACTOR

A combination vehicle includes a tractor and a trailer towed by the tractor. The trailer includes a first tank that is configured to store a high-pressure gas as a fuel used by the tractor to travel. The tractor includes a second tank that is configured to store a high-pressure gas as a fuel used by the tractor to travel. The combination vehicle is configured to travel using the fuel supplied from the first tank and the second tank.

An implement drive system is provided for an implement towed by a prime mover vehicle in a work vehicle train. The system includes an axle arrangement and an auxiliary power unit. The auxiliary power unit includes an electric motor; a planetary gear set receiving rotational input from the electric motor and providing a rotational output with a decreased rotational speed and an increased torque relative to the rotational input; and a disconnect device having an output configured to be coupled to the axle arrangement. The disconnect device is movable to a first position in which the disconnect device transfers the rotational output from the planetary gear set to the axle arrangement such the rotational input drives the wheels of the implement. The disconnect device is movable to a second position in which the disconnect device decouples the axle arrangement from the rotational input of the electric motor.

A remotely-engaging handle for a fifth wheel hitch system is provided. The remotely-engaging handle may comprise a body and a latching assembly that may be securely attached to the body and capable of engaging with a fifth wheel hitch. The latching assembly may comprise a locking member and an actuating member. The actuation of the actuating member may position a portion of the locking member from an unlocked position to a locked position. The locking member may comprise a latching arm rotating about a pivot point and a biasing member operatively attached the body. The biasing member may bias the locking member into a transitory position. In one embodiment, the actuating member may further comprise an electrically-operated button or a software-based interface. In particular embodiment, the locking member may further actuated by a solenoid and the connecting member may further comprise a wireless device.

The rear powered tires train is capable to turn around a pivot, taking different positions with respect to the trailer. The independent electric motors on each tire of the trailer rear tires train provide additional power to the vehicle and steering capability of the trailer rear tires train. This allows better control of the rear of the trailer and instead to be only pull by the truck, the trailer may be driven by it self, by using different speeds on each of the two tires, avoiding accidents and helping back parking and driving. The system may work in automatic or manual mode.

The spindle cross member further comprises means for pivotally attaching the head of the suspension frame to the middle section wall within the cavity.

The pull tongue provides a sliding extension member that communicates with an expansion mechanism. The sliding extension member is configured to interact with a fifth wheel of a second vehicle.
