MULTIPLE MODE ELECTROSURGICAL DEVICE
An electrosurgical device having first and second poles; blade electrode with a metal shim having two opposing faces and one or more facets, a nonconductive coating which covers at least the faces and a portion of the facets of the metal shim, while a distal portion of the one or more facets remains uncovered by the nonconductive coating; a lateral electrode comprised of a broad shim having one or more conductive faces and is placed parallel to the blade electrode so that at least one of the one or more conductive faces is exposed and a distal end of the blade electrode protrudes from the lateral electrode; the lateral electrode is fixed stationary relative to the blade electrode; the nonconductive coating insulates the blade electrode from the lateral electrode; and the first pole is connected to the blade electrode and the second pole is connected to the lateral electrode.
SURGICAL CLIP APPLICATION DEVICE
A surgical clip application device for applying and crimping surgical clips to ligate a vessel.
ROBOTICALLY CONTROLLED UTERINE MANIPULATOR WITH ARTICULATION
An apparatus includes a shaft including a distal shaft end. At least a portion of the shaft defines a first axis. The apparatus also includes a sleeve slidably coupled to the shaft. The sleeve includes a distal sleeve end. The apparatus further includes a colpotomy cup fixedly secured to the distal sleeve end, and a movable member extending distally from the distal shaft end. The movable member is configured to move relative to the shaft between a first state in which the movable member extends substantially along the first axis and a second state in which the movable member extends at least partially along a second axis transverse to the first axis for manipulating an anatomical structure.
MULTI-FUNCTION SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS AND SELECTION ASSEMBLIES FOR MULTI-FUNCTION SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS
A surgical instrument includes a housing, at least three deployable components selectively deployable relative to the housing from a storage to a use position, a deployment and retraction assembly, and a selection assembly. The deployment and retraction assembly includes an actuator, an output driver, and a gear assembly operably coupled therebetween such that actuation of the actuator drives the output driver. The selection assembly includes a coupling shaft movable between at least first, second, and third positions wherein the coupling shaft is operably coupled between the output driver and first, second, and third deployable components, respectively, of the at least three deployable components such that actuation of the actuator drives the output driver to deploy the respective first, second, or third deployable component.
Surgical system bailout
A surgical system comprising a surgical instrument attachment assembly and a transmission assembly is disclosed. The surgical instrument attachment assembly comprises a shaft and an end effector. The transmission assembly is configured to be operably attached to and detached from a surgical robot, wherein the surgical instrument attachment assembly is configured to be operably attached to and detached from the transmission assembly. The transmission assembly comprises a drive system comprising a drive member movable in a first direction during a drive stroke and a second direction during a return stroke. The transmission assembly further comprises a manually-operated bailout configured to selectively move the drive member in the first and second directions when the transmission assembly is attached to the surgical robot.
Hand held surgical handle assembly, surgical adapters for use between surgical handle assembly and surgical loading units, and methods of use
A surgical device includes an adapter assembly that selectively interconnects a loading unit and a device housing. The adapter assembly includes a drive converter assembly for interconnecting a rotatable drive shaft and an axially translatable drive member of the loading unit. The drive converter assembly converts and transmits a rotation of the rotatable drive shaft to an axial translation of the axially translatable drive member of the loading unit. The drive converter assembly includes a drive element, a drive nut, and a distal drive member. The drive element defines a longitudinal axis. The drive nut is disposed about the longitudinal axis, and the distal drive member is disposed along the longitudinal axis.
Handle assembly and stapler including the same
A handle assembly and a stapler including the same are provided. The handle assembly includes: a first handle, a second handle, a sliding slot disposed on the first handle, a slider slidably disposed in the sliding slot, a second indicator and a first indicator connected to a first end of the second indicator; when the first indicator is rotated in a first direction, a second end of the second indicator is driven to rotate in the first direction and the slider is pushed to move from a first section of the sliding slot to a second section of the sliding slot; when the slider is pressed against the second handle due to rotation of the first handle in a second direction, the second handle is linked with the first handle and the second end of the second indicator is pushed by the slider to rotate in the second direction.
Surgical end effectors
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, an end effector for use with a surgical device is provided. The end effector includes a drive assembly, a driver, a needle assembly and a biasing element. The driver is disposed in mechanical cooperation with the drive assembly. Rotation of the drive assembly in a first direction causes distal translation of the driver with respect to the drive assembly. The needle assembly is disposed in mechanical cooperation with the driver. Distal translation of the driver causes a corresponding distal translation of the needle assembly. The biasing element is disposed in mechanical cooperation with the needle assembly and is configured to bias the needle assembly proximally.
Endoscopic snare device
The present subject matter discloses a tissue removal tool for use with an endoscope. The tool comprises a loop formed by a piece of wire and movable between an open position and a closed position, and a transmitting assembly comprising: a handle; and a link having a first end attached to the handle and a second end attached to the loop, the loop portion being movable between the open and closed position by action of the handle. The loop is defined in the open position by a proximal portion and a distal portion. The widest portion of the loop is more proximal to a proximal end of the loop than the mid-point of the length of the loop is.
Abdominal instrument and method
A surgical instrument (100) for placement of a movement restriction device (10) for use in a surgical procedure for treating reflux disease in a patient. The instrument comprises a sleeve (113) and a holding device (111) configured to engage the movement restriction device, wherein the holding device is configured to be placed within the sleeve and be displaceable in relation to the sleeve. The instrument further comprises a first handling portion (101) connected to the sleeve, and a second handling portion (102) connected to the holding device. The handling of at least one of the first and second handling portion creates relative displacement of the holding device in relation to the sleeve, which disengages the holding device from the movement restriction device for performing the placement of the movement restriction device.
