Track chain and methods for bushing rotation

A method of servicing a track chain assembly includes loosening a fastener to reduce a clamping force of a track link body on a track bushing. With the clamping force reduced, the method includes rotating the track bushing from a first position wherein a worn side of the track bushing faces a drive sprocket to a second position wherein an unworn side of the track bushing faces the drive sprocket. Once the track bushing in the second position, the method includes tightening the fastener to increase the clamping force on the track bushing. The method can be performed while leaving the track chain in place on a track machine.

Monitoring system for automatically estimating and monitoring the correct alignment of the tracks, particularly of the track chains, and relevant method

A monitoring system is disclosed for automatically estimating and monitoring the alignment of tracks of a track-type vehicle. The track-type vehicle includes an undercarriage and two tracks. Each track includes a chain with a plurality of chain links and articulated joints. The monitoring system includes at least one undercarriage sensor fixable on the undercarriage, at least one chain sensor fixable on the chain of each of the two tracks, and a processor configured to combine the detections of the sensors to determine the alignment direction of the tracks and to compare the determined direction with a reference alignment direction.

METHOD FOR MOUNTING A TRACK ASSEMBLY TO A VEHICLE, AND SUSPENSION AND TRACK ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE

A method for mounting a track assembly to a vehicle comprises: pivotally connecting a frame of the track assembly to a distal end portion of an A-arm of the vehicle for permitting rotation of the track assembly about a steering axis; inserting a fastener through a fastener aperture defined in the distal end portion of the A-arm; and fastening an anti-rotation device of the track assembly to the distal end portion of the A-arm with the fastener, the anti-rotation device being connected to the frame. A suspension and track assembly for a vehicle is also disclosed.

A track component for use with a track assembly includes a gyro sensor that monitors a track wrap angle of the track chain assembly about the idler wheel, or the drive sprocket.

BRAKE ASSEMBLY FOR A TRACKED VEHICLE

A farm implement is provided having a frame and first and second track assemblies for assisting in moving the farm implement along a ground surface in a line of travel. The first track assembly and the second track assembly are positioned on opposite lateral sides of the frame. The first track assembly has a first track frame, a first idler wheel, and a first brake assembly. The first idler wheel has an inboard side facing toward a center of the first track frame and an outboard side facing away from the center the first track frame. The first brake assembly has a first disc coupled to the first idler wheel on the outboard side of the first idler wheel, a first caliper couplable to first and second sides of the first disc, and a first torque arm coupled to the first track frame and a spindle of the first idler wheel. The first caliper is mounted on the first torque arm, and the first caliper is configured to clamp down on the first and second sides of the first disc in order to slow and/or stop rotation of the first idler wheel.

Connection assembly for articulated chains

A connection assembly for articulated chains which comprise mutually-pivoted links that are split between at least one initial link and at least one terminal link. The assembly comprises transverse holes of the initial link and of the terminal link, which are arranged in mutual alignment when the initial and terminal links are in the coupling configuration; a master pin, with shape and dimensions substantially complementary to those of the holes and adapted to be inserted into those holes in order to couple the initial and terminal links; at least one elastic peg that can be accommodated, with elastic forcing thereof, in at least one respective radial channel which is defined, in its outermost parts, on at least one link chosen from between the initial link and the terminal link and, in its innermost part, on the master pin.
