VEHICLE CLOSURE PRESSURE SENSOR
A device for measuring a pressure of a vehicle closure member includes a pressure sensitive tip, a base, a plurality of electrical conductors, and a neck. The pressure sensitive tip is configured to output an electronic signal that corresponds to a pressure at the pressure sensitive tip. The electrical conductors electrically couple the pressure sensitive tip to the base. The neck includes an inner layer and an outer layer. The inner layer is disposed about the electrical conductors. The outer layer is disposed about the inner layer. The neck is flexible along a length of the neck.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM FOR AUTOMATED MANUFACTURING DEFECT DETECTION
An automated manufacturing defect detection system includes processing circuitry configured to receive historical parts statistics corresponding to a failure of parts used in a vehicle assembly, receive vehicle sensor statistics corresponding to a failure of parts of post manufactured vehicles, and receive historical assembly line statistics corresponding to a failure of assembly of parts during the vehicle assembly. Additionally, the processing circuitry is configured to generate a profile for one or more parts used in the vehicle assembly, receive an analysis of each of the one or more parts of the assembled vehicle, determine whether any of the one or more analyzed parts deviate from the profile generated for that part, and in response to a determination that any of the one or more analyzed parts deviate from the profile generated for that part by greater than an expected quality threshold, automatically communicate an alert corresponding to the deviation.
Lighting system for a vehicle having a light testing mode and method of inspecting lights
A vehicle (2) comprises a plurality of vehicle lights (14a-k) to be matched by additional lights (8a-j) in use; respective connecting interfaces (20a-20h) associated with each of the vehicle lights (14a-k); and an electronic controller (24) for controlling supply of light-activating power to the vehicle lights (14a-k) and to the associated connecting interfaces (20a-20h). The controller (24) is configured, in a light testing mode, to supply said power to each of the vehicle lights (14a-k) and to each of the associated connecting interfaces (20a-20h) in a sequence for inspecting whether additional lights (8a-j) connected in use to the connecting interfaces (20a-20h) match the vehicle lights (14a-k). Related systems, methods and controllers are also described.
AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURING METHOD
Provided is a method of manufacturing an automobile capable of automatic driving while recognizing and following a vehicle ahead. The method includes a first installation step of installing the following in a target vehicle-being-manufactured to make the target vehicle-being-manufactured capable of automatic driving: traveling parts including a tire and a wheel; a drive source that drives the wheel; a power supply device that supplies a power source for operating the drive source; a sensor that recognizes a vehicle ahead; and a controller that controls the drive source based on information acquired from the sensor such that the target vehicle-being-manufactured runs so as to follow the vehicle ahead, and a second installation step of, after the first installation step, installing an interior part in the target vehicle-being-manufactured while moving the target vehicle-being-manufactured by automatic driving so as to follow a vehicle-being-manufactured ahead of and adjacent to the target vehicle-being-manufactured.
Fixation system and method that detects proper attachment
Methods and apparatus are provided for attaching a first device to a second device. The method includes providing an attachment structure for attaching the first device to the second device that includes a fastener that is movable from a first position to a second position within the attachment structure, moving the first device into position to be attached to the second device with the fastener in the first position, obscuring an attachment detection window with a window barrier fixed to the fastener, securing the first device to the second device by sliding the fastener from the first position to the second position, locking the fastener in the second position, revealing the attachment detection window when the fastener is locked in the second position, and reading the attachment detection window to detect that the first device has been properly attached to the second device.
DETECTION OF VEHICLE DEFECTS
A method, system and computer program product of detecting vehicle defects includes creating a first design graph, receiving information related to a defective design of a vehicle associated with the first design graph, tagging a defective part in the first design graph with defect information, comparing the first design graph with other design graphs using a graph-matching technique, determining that a second design graph matches the first design graph, the second design graph representing a potentially anomalous design, identifying a plurality of candidate vehicles that incorporate the potentially anomalous design, and recommending the candidate vehicles as service candidates.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING AN AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE USING AUTONOMOUS CONVEYANCE OF A VEHICLE CHASSIS
A system and method for manufacturing a motor vehicle using autonomous conveyance of a vehicle chassis and a control system to execute functions including steering, acceleration/deceleration, environment monitoring and obstacle avoidance.
WIRELESS NODE LOCATION IDENTIFICATION
Systems and methods permit automatic joining of a network associated with a specified area within which wireless nodes reside. Network managers located in or near the specified area use wireless proximity detection to estimate distances to wireless nodes requesting to join the network. The network managers can use the estimated distances to determine whether or not a requesting wireless node is located within the specified area. If the requesting wireless node is located within the specified area, the network managers can permit the wireless node to join the wireless network associated with the respective specified area.
Checking fixture
The present invention relates to a checking fixture comprising: a bottom support frame; a metallic support sheet mechanically fixated to the bottom support frame, the metallic support sheet comprising a plurality of through holes arranged in a predetermined layout; a plurality of holder members for holding vehicle component holders or vehicle component measurement devices, the holder members being attached to the metallic support sheet in the through holes and being adapted to extend away from an upper surface of the metallic support sheet; at least one metallic sheet reinforcement structure arranged orthogonally separated from the metallic support sheet, the metallic sheet reinforcement structure being adapted to fixate the relative position of at least two of the holders members. The metallic support sheet and the metallic reinforcement sheet structure are made from laser cut sheet material.
Liquid injection system for vehicle and method for controlling the same
The present invention relates to a liquid injection system for a vehicle, including: at least one or more consoles adapted to check a leakage on a vehicle moved along a production line and to supply liquids to the vehicle; and a circulation rail having a working section disposed in parallel with the production line and a pit section in which the consoles are repaired and the liquids are refilled to the consoles, so as to allow the consoles to be circulated along the working section and the pit section thereof. accordingly, the liquid injection system can circulate the consoles using the track type circulation rail, thereby minimizing the time loss generated in liquid injection processes to improve the productivity of the vehicle.
