Common CRP cart for multi vehicle model
A common CRP cart for multiple vehicle models is disclosed. The common CRP cart may clamp a cowl panel, a roof rail and a package tray for assembling a vehicle body, and may move upwardly and downwardly at a working room for a build-up process. The common CRP cart may include a frame; a first aligning unit connected to one portion of the frame for clamping a cowl panel of various vehicle models having different specifications; a second aligning unit connected to another portion of the frame for clamping a roof rail of various vehicle models having different specifications; and a third aligning unit connected to the other portion of the frame for clamping a package tray of various vehicle models having different specifications.
Method for coupling a sunroof glass apparatus to a vehicle body
A method for coupling a sunroof glass apparatus includes the following steps: (a) moving a fixture toward a roof portion of a vehicle body in order to insert a plurality of pins of the fixture into locating holes formed in the vehicle body; (b) coupling net plates to the arms of an actuating mechanism of the sunroof assembly; (c) decoupling the fixture from the net plates while maintaining the net plates coupled to the arms of the actuating mechanism; and (d) coupling the flanges of the sunroof glass apparatus to arms of the actuating mechanism via the net plates in order to movably couple the sunroof glass apparatus to the vehicle body. In another embodiment, the presently disclosed method may additionally include coupling the net plates to the fixture before moving the fixture toward the roof portion of the vehicle body.
Bus side window assembly and method
A side window assembly for a vehicle comprising a cabin, a chassis window frame rail, and a body with a door integral therewith and aligned with the chassis rail axis, comprising a window frame fitted within an opening between a front post of the door and an internal edge of the cabin independently of an internal fender panel and of a fender of the cabin, and a glazing, secured to the window frame to fill the opening.
BULKHEAD INCLUDING A SUPPORT STRUCTURE AND AN ACOUSTIC COMPONENT
A bulkhead (110) for separating an engine compartment (112) and a passenger compartment (114) including a support structure (320) including at least one reinforcement member (324) and a body (322) supported by the reinforcement member (324), a thermally insulative component (330) supported by the support structure (320), and an acoustic resonator (370) defining a plurality of openings that extend along a first direction from the thermally insulative component (330) toward the first resonator side and terminate at a location between the first resonator side and the second resonator side. The acoustic resonator (370) includes a plurality of cells that each defines a respective first open volume that is in fluid communication with at least one of the plurality of openings.

Manufacturing cell based vehicle manufacturing system and method
Manufacturing cell based vehicle manufacturing systems and methods for a wide variety of vehicles are disclosed. In one aspect, a manufacturing cell configured for assembling a frame of a vehicle is disclosed. The manufacturing cell includes a positioner, a robot carrier and a robot. The positioner is configured to receive a fixture table configured to hold the frame. The robot carrier includes a vertical lift. The robot is configured to assemble the frame. The positioner is configured to support the frame in a vertical position during an assembling process. In another aspect of the disclosure, a system for manufacturing a vehicle based on a manufacturing cell is disclosed. In another aspect of the disclosure, a method for manufacturing a vehicle based on a manufacturing cell is disclosed.
INSULATION MEMBER
The present disclosure relates to an insulation member for a hollow space of a vehicle bodywork. The insulation member comprises an expandable insulation body and a gas-impermeable cover. The cover comprises a yieldable chamber portion enclosing the expandable insulation body, wherein a pressure inside the chamber portion in a non-expanded state of the insulation member is less than atmospheric pressure. The cover further comprises at least one attachment portion adapted for attachment to the vehicle bodywork. The disclosure further relates to a vehicle comprising the insulation member, a use of the insulation member, a method of manufacturing an insulation member and a method of mounting an insulation member.
Tab-And-Slot Frame Members with a Stringer
A frame may comprise a plurality of interlocking tab-and-slot frame members forming a three-dimensional structure. A removable stringer may be designed into one or more of the interlocking tab-and-slot frame members. The stringers may be removed after positioning and welding of tab-and slot frame members together. Notches may also be designed into and formed as additional features of a tab-and-slot frame member. Notches may serve as a guide for bending tab-and-slot frame members and in the creation of tabs and/or slots of the tab-and-slot frame members.
