Securing device

A securing device for securing a component to an object comprises a fastening element having an engagement section and having a longitudinal axis, wherein the fastening element is selectively connectable to a counter element by actuating the engagement section; and a cover sleeve which is movably supported at the fastening element between a closed position in which the cover sleeve prevents an actuation of the engagement section and an open position in which the cover sleeve allows an actuation of the engagement section. At least one blocking element is provided between the fastening element and the cover sleeve, said blocking element being freely movable in the closed position of the cover sleeve between a latched position in which it blocks the cover sleeve in the closed position and an unlatched position in which it allows a movement of the cover sleeve into the open position. The blocking element is further supported between the fastening element and the cover sleeve such that, when the cover sleeve is in the closed position, it adopts the latched position due to gravity in a normal alignment of the longitudinal axis of the fastening element and it adopts the unlatched position due to gravity in an installation alignment of the longitudinal axis of the fastening element perpendicular to the normal alignment.

A method is provided for unlocking a seat bench of a single-track motor vehicle using at least one actuator for locking and unlocking the seat bench by a locking element. An actuation element for the actuator is formed on the seat bench. The single-track motor vehicle has a sensor system for detecting current operating parameters of the single-track motor vehicle and a controller for controlling the actuator. At least one specified value for a corresponding operating parameter is stored in the controller. According to the method, the corresponding operating parameter is continuously detected by the sensor system, and the detected operating parameter is then compared by the controller with the respective corresponding specified value. If, upon comparing the detected operating parameter, the operating parameter corresponds to the corresponding specified value and a driver actuates the actuation element, the controller controls the actuator such that the seat bench is unlocked by the unlocking element.

Locking clamp for securing a bicycle seat post to a bicycle frame

The present invention features a locking clamp capable of securing a post into a bicycle frame such that only a user can remove the locking clamp. The locking clamp may comprise a lock capable of accepting an unlocking method that only the user may utilize, ensuring security of the post to protect items stored in the post (e.g. a bicycle repair assembly). The unlocking method may depend on the type of lock implemented. The locking clamp may further comprise a first jaw extending from the lock, a second jaw extending from the lock, and a screw connecting the first jaw and the second jaw. Actuating the screw may move the first jaw closer to the second jaw thus tightening the locking clamp around an interface of the post and the bicycle frame.
