Bicycle saddle

A bicycle saddle for attaching to a bicycle seat post including a rearward seat portion extending forwardly to a soft compressible nose. The seat portion adapted to support a rider's ischial tuberosities in the cruising position. The nose adapted to support the rider's pudendal or pelvic anatomy. The seat portion having downwardly sloped lateral flanges disposed either side of the nose wherein the flanges continue to provide support to the ischial tuberosities. Any increase in perineal and pudendal pressure is substantially absorbed by the compressibility of the nose such that maintaining continuous contact with the seat portion and nose enables full saddle control as the rider shifts from the cruising to an aerodynamic or racing position.

The invention includes apparatus and methods of use for an adjustable disarticulated seat, which in a preferred embodiment may include one, or a plurality of independently or synchronously adjustable disarticulated inserts positioned within insert interface apertures on the distal extended portion of a saddle. An actuator element may be responsive to the one or more disarticulated inserts through one or more cords configured to be retracted or release in response to the action of the actuator causing the extension upward or release downward movement of the one or more inserts within the insert interface aperture.

The present invention relates to a bicycle saddle including: a saddle frame disposed on a bicycle frame; a saddle plate disposed on top of the saddle frame; and a saddle seat disposed on top of the saddle plate to elastically support the hips, wherein the saddle seat is divided into a first seat and a second seat having top portions rounded with a given radius of curvature and disposed spaced apart from each other to a band-like shape along both longitudinal edges of the saddle plate, and between the first seat and the second seat is disposed an arch-shaped ischium accommodation portion for accommodating the ischial tuberosities of the pelvis thereinto to prevent the arteries, veins, and nerves from a rider's anus to the genitals from being compressed against the saddle seat by his or her body weight. Accordingly, the anus and genitals as well as the arteries, veins, and nerves connected from the anus to the genitals can be basically prevented from being compressed against the saddle seat, thereby permitting the rider to be free of perineum pains, prostate diseases, and dysuria.

Embodiments of the invention provide a customizable bicycle saddle for a bicycle. The bicycle saddle has been designed to allow it to be adjusted to match the ischial tuberosities of each rider's pelvis in order to minimize the pressure placed on other portions of the rider's body while seated on the bicycle. The bicycle saddle comprises a first seating portion that has been configured to allow a rider to sit on the bicycle, a second seating portion that has been configured to allow the rider to sit on the bicycle. The bicycle saddle also includes a first adjustment means configured to allow the first seating portion to be moved closer to the second seating portion, and a second adjustment means configured to allow the saddle to be moved closer to a forward portion on the bicycle.

Motorized personal transporter

A personal transporter includes a seat, a frame having a base and a strut supporting the seat, hinged to the base and pivotable between an open configuration and a folded configuration, a pair of driving wheels and at least one non-driving wheel associated to the base defining, in use, three unaligned points on the ground, a pair of electric motors, a pair of control pedals, each associated to a respective electric motor to drive a respective driving wheel, and a support rod for supporting the strut in the open configuration, hinged to the strut and slidably mounted on the base in a guide. The base has a rear portion for supporting the at least one non-driving wheel and a pair of front portions, each hinged to the strut and integrally rotatable with a respective control pedal.

A bicycle seat has a bicycle saddle with a forward end and a rearward end, the saddle having an ischial region. One or more cushioning pads are placed on the saddle in the ischial region. The cushioning pads have an upper surface, with the cushioning pads being connected to the saddle in a manner that enables the upper surface of the cushioning pads to move either from side to side with respect to the saddle during pedaling, or forward and rearward with respect to the saddle during pedaling, or both from side to side and forward and rearward during pedaling.

ADJUSTABLE SEAT CUSHION

An adjustable seat cushion. The adjustable seat cushion provides a frame defining an interface. The interface receives a plurality of dynamic supports and a plurality of static supports. The plurality of dynamic supports is disposed alternatingly between the plurality of static supports upon the interface. A handle is in operable connection with the plurality of dynamic supports. Rotation of the handle in a first direction elevates the plurality of dynamic supports relative to the plurality of static supports. Rotation of the handle in a second direction depresses the plurality of dynamic supports relative to the plurality of static supports.
