A seat assembly for a tilting vehicle includes at least a seat bench which has a first seat region in which a rider can be located for riding and operating the tilting vehicle, and which has at least a second seat region in which a passenger, such as a pillion passenger, can be located, and includes a receiving unit which has at least two opposing wall elements which are movable from a seat position in which at least one of the at least two wall elements forms a seat base, extending in a seat plane, of the second seat region of the seat bench, into a receptacle position in which the at least two wall elements, extending substantially transversely or obliquely in relation to the seat plane and mutually contactlessly spaced, delimit a receiving region on at least two sides, in which receiving region at least one object can be disposed. The passenger can be located on the seat base, directly in contact therewith.

A straddle-type vehicle comprises a vehicle body frame; a main seat on which a rider is seated; a sub-seat on which a passenger is seated, the sub-seat being separate from the main seat and placed behind the main seat; a bracket which is separate from the main seat and to which the sub-seat is mountable; and a first fastening member which fastens the bracket to the vehicle body frame such that the bracket is detachable from the vehicle body frame, wherein the main seat includes a stay protruding rearward, and wherein the stay and the bracket are fastened together to the vehicle body frame by use of the first fastening member.

A straddle-type vehicle comprises a vehicle body frame; a main seat on which a rider is seated; a sub-seat on which a passenger is seated, the sub-seat being separate from the main seat and placed behind the main seat; a bracket which is separate from the main seat and to which the sub-seat is mountable; and a first fastening member which fastens the bracket to the vehicle body frame such that the bracket is detachable from the vehicle body frame, wherein the main seat includes a stay protruding rearward, and wherein the stay and the bracket are fastened together to the vehicle body frame by use of the first fastening member.

A method for fixing a travel container to a motor vehicle includes arranging a vehicle with at least one back seat fixed to a frame of the vehicle. The seat includes a lower plate securable to a frame portion of the vehicle and a seat portion, opposite to the lower plate, is suitable as a user/passenger seat. A travel container has a container body, defining a storage compartment. A fixing plate associated with the container body includes a mount for the travel container. The travel container fixing plate is interchangeable with the lower plate of the seat. The seat is removed to provide access to an under-seat compartment and to the frame portion supporting the seat. The travel container is fixed to the vehicle to fix the fixing plate of the travel container to the frame portion supporting the seat. The travel container is arranged to replace the seat.

VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat suitable as a straddle-type seat for a two or three-wheeled vehicle is provided, the straddle-type seat being configured to be shifted between a tip-up state and a seated state by a rotation mechanism, wherein there is no interference between the rotation mechanism and the seat. The vehicle seat of the present disclosure has a bottom plate, a seating portion, and a side portion. The seating portion and the side portion are covered by a surface material. In this vehicle seat configured to be shifted between the seated state and the tip-up state by the rotation mechanism, a recessed portion for the rotation mechanism is provided at the side portion facing the rotation mechanism.

A vehicle seat suitable as a straddle-type seat for a two or three-wheeled vehicle is provided, the straddle-type seat being configured to be shifted between a tip-up state and a seated state by a rotation mechanism, wherein there is no interference between the rotation mechanism and the seat. The boarding part includes: a driver seat; a steering operation tool in front of the driver seat; and a passenger seat of a saddle seat type behind the driver seat.

A rear seat for a saddle type vehicle that is readily adjustable without changing the position of a main seat to improve the riding comfort of the rear seat. A saddle type vehicle includes a head pipe, a main frame provided behind the head pipe and a seat rail extending to the rear of the main frame. A main seat is provided with a rear seat provided behind the main seat and formed as a separate member from the main seat. The rear seat is attached to a rear seat holding portion provided at a rear portion of the seat rail through a base plate for holding the rear seat thereon. The rear seat can be moved forwardly and rearwardly by making it possible for the base plate to be fixed at a plurality of positions in the forward and rearward direction with respect to the rear seat holding portion.
