Vehicle lamp

A vehicle lamp includes a lighting unit, a lens, an optical transparent member and a light directing unit. The lens is disposed in front of the lighting unit for radiating forwardly light rays received from the lighting unit. The optical transparent member protrudes sidewardly from one side of the lens. The light directing unit is disposed between the lighting unit and the optical transparent member for forwardly directing part of light rays emitted from the lighting unit to the optical transparent member. The optical transparent member radiates forwardly the light rays received from the light directing unit, whereby a light emitting area of the vehicle lamp is increased.

VEHICLE SIGNAL AND LIGHTING SYSTEM CONFIGURABLE TO VARIOUS ARTICLES AND APPAREL
20200094731 · 2020-03-26 ·

Vehicle signaling configurable to various articles and apparel is provided. An example system allows a user to dynamically assign vehicle signals for activating brake lights, turn signals, running lights, headlights, police emergency lights, and so forth, to user-selected lights built into articles and apparel. Vehicle signals may be wirelessly assigned to lights on articles and apparel through a smart phone application, or other portable software means. The system forms a self-managing wireless network, to which the user can add any number of additional illuminated articles and pieces of illuminated apparel, which are automatically sensed and integrated. An example helmet spoiler, for example, has a receiver for processing a wireless signal from a vehicle, to actuate brake lights, turn signals, headlights, and the like on the spoiler itself. In a police implementation, a helmet actuates police flashers on the helmet based on an assigned wireless signal from a police vehicle.

PORTABLE ACTIVE LIGHTING DEVICE OR SAME INSTALLED ON A BICYCLE

The active lighting device of a bicycle includes a first optical system with a first light source for long-distance illumination, controlled by a control unit, and a second optical system with a second light source for short-distance illumination, controlled by the control unit. It includes a light sensor for determining the light intensity of a location in which the bicycle is situated and allows the control unit to adapt the light intensity of the light sources, if they are activated and if the ambient light intensity is below a determined light threshold. Moreover, a speed sensor is provided for determining the speed of the bicycle in use on a path, so that the control unit controls the activation of the first light source from at least one determined speed threshold. An orientation detector is provided for orienting the light sources depending on a curve travelled by the bicycle in use.
