Absolute acceleration sensor for use within moving vehicles
A communication system for a vehicle comprises a mechanism for sensing a change in speed of the vehicle and a control device for sending a signal to a headlight activation circuit to modulate the vehicle's headlights based upon the change in speed. In particular, a headlight of the vehicle is able to be modulated as the vehicle reduces speed and/or is decelerating as it approaches an intersection. Additionally, the headlight of the vehicle is able to be modulated as the vehicle accelerates from a stopped position or reaches a certain traveling speed. The headlight activation circuit is able to modulate the headlight between an on position and an off position or modulate the headlight between a high beam position and a low beam position. Consequently, the vehicle is better seen as it approaches likely congestion areas such as intersections and slowing or stopped traffic and attempts to enter traffic.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SYNCHRONIZED SIGNALING OF THE POSITIONS OF MOVING PEDESTRIANS OR VEHICLES
Position indicating devices, systems and methods useable for signaling the positions of pedestrians or vehicles.
LIGHT SENSING ILLUMINATION DEVICE FOR BICYCLE
A light sensing illumination device for bicycle includes a seat, a reflector, and an illumination device. The seat includes a housing space. The reflector is disposed in the seat and in the housing space, and the reflector includes a reflection curved face which is formed in a smooth arc shape with a concave face thereof facing an opening of the housing space. The illumination unit is disposed in the housing space and projects light beam toward the reflection curved face. With a smooth arc shaped reflection curved face, the light beam projected by the illumination unit is completely reflected, so as to improve the light condensing effect and efficiently enhance the overall brightness.
LIGHTING SYSTEM
A lighting system capable of reducing a number of components and cost is provided. A back substrate, a lamp body including front support columns that guide and position the back substrate when the back substrate is attached, and a front substrate that is disposed in the lamp body to be stacked on the back substrate and is fixed to tip end portions of the front support columns are included. The front support columns perform guide and positioning of the back substrate, and fixing of the front substrate, and thereby the number of components and cost of the lamp body are reduced, as compared with a case where the guide portions, positioning portions and fixing portions of the back substrate and the front substrate are individually provided respectively.
Handlebar mountable light pipe apparatus for a bicycle
There is described a handlebar mountable bicycle light for fitting to a bicycle handlebar (3) between brake levers (4). The bicycle light comprises an upper cover (5) and a lower cover (6) which are preferably made from injection molded plastics and of a clam shell type arrangement able to receive handlebar (3) and rigidly retain light pipe assembly (7) with cover screws (8). Lower cover (6) contains an aperture (14) through which the handlebar stem (9) extends. The light pipe assembly (7) comprises a transparent rod-like light pipe (18) with LEDs (26) mounted at each end of the light pipe (18). The light pipe assembly 7 further includes heat sinks (24) to draw heat away from the LEDs (26). The arrangement is such that when the bicycle light is mounted to the handlebar, the heat sinks (24) are in contact with the handlebar so that heat from the LEDs may be conducted via the heat sinks (24) to the handlebar material.
Structure for front part of saddled vehicle
A front structure for a saddle-riding vehicle includes a meter unit, a meter covering for covering at least an area forwardly of the meter unit, and a windshield disposed forwardly of the meter covering. When viewed from lateral side, the windshield is disposed having been rearwardly upwardly tilted. The windshield has a rear surface is of a curved shape in which a region from its opposite side end portions to an intermediate portion is bulged forwardly. The meter covering has a front wall so shaped as to have a forwardly protruding shape effective to divert sunlight, coming from rear and subsequently reflected from the windshield, away from the focal point of the reflected sunlight.
Light Projected Visual Space and Safety System For Bicycles
A light projection system for bicycles that comprises a front light and a rear light that act in tandem to emit light on the sides and beneath the cycle to visually indicate the safety space of the cyclist; and to use such lights to indicate cyclists' intention to other commuters. Individually, both the front and rear light can project light as wide as 330, with sharply defined patterns and objects. The front and rear lights act in concert that allows the projection of light on a surface that is demonstrably more visible, brighter, better defined, which allows the user of such lights signal intentions to other commuters. Moreover, the lights are synchronized so the shape and outline of the projected light field is malleable, thus different shapes can be projected with no loss of luminous flux and/or sharpness.
COWLING STRUCTURE
A cowling structure for a straddle-type vehicle. The cowling structure includes a cowling covering a lamp unit. A front surface of the cowling has an opening through which a lens surface of the lamp unit is exposed to a front side. A lower surface of the cowling has an opening area through which a lower surface of the lamp unit is exposed to a lower side.
