Motorcycle
A motorcycle includes a pair of left and right front forks, a headlight, cover members (side cowls and light covers), and camera units. A front wheel is rotatably attached to the pair of left and right front forks. The headlight irradiates a forward side. The cover members each having an internal space are disposed at least laterally outside the pair of left and right front forks in a front view. The camera units detect the forward side by acquiring visible light which is one kind of electromagnetic waves (by acquiring images). In a front view, the camera units are disposed below the headlight and laterally outside the pair of left and right front forks. The camera units are disposed in the internal spaces of the cover members.
SADDLE-TYPE VEHICLE
When a rider of a motorcycle has manipulated a shift manipulation member, a shift stroke sensor detects an expansion/contraction amount corresponding to a load placed on the shift manipulation member. A controller of an ECU references a map and, when the load corresponding to the expansion/contraction stroke amount exceeds a threshold value point (down-side ON point one up-side ON point), switches a transmission stage of a transmission. The threshold value point can be changed based on a manipulation of an instruction switch by the driver while the motorcycle is travelling.
METER INTEGRATION SYSTEM
A meter integration system, applied to a motorcycle/scooter, has a processing unit, a memory unit, a vehicular data receiving unit, a wireless communication unit and a digital dashboard. An instrument display area of the digital dashboard can display a general mode user interface and a navigation mode user interface which are mutually switchable. An indicator area is beside the instrument display area, wherein the vehicular data receiving unit can obtain the vehicular information of the motorcycle/scooter and the vehicular information of the motorcycle/scooter shown in the general mode user interface and the indicator area. The wireless communication unit can obtain navigation data and satellite positioning coordinates provided by wireless communication devices such as smart phones, or the satellite positioning coordinates can be obtained through a satellite positioning unit in the meter integration system to provide navigation functions under the navigation mode user interface.
BICYCLE AND SCOOTER SMART SAFETY DEVICE
A smart safety device for a bicycle or scooter is disclosed. The smart safety device includes a pair of handlebar grips configured to be removably coupled to a handlebar of the bicycle or scooter. Each handlebar grip includes at least one object detection sensor to detect traffic in the vicinity of the handlebar, and at least one vibrator configured to vibrate based on input from the at least one object detection sensor. Moreover, the smart safety device includes a user interface mounted substantially centrally to the handlebar and including at least one detector to detect traffic in front of the bicycle or scooter. The user interface also includes at least one indicator configured to indicate a presence of an object in front of the bicycle or scooter based on input from the at least one detector.
