Wheel and cycle
The disclosure relates to the field of cycle technologies, and particularly to a wheel and a cycle. The wheel comprises a rim, a tire covering an outer periphery face of the rim, and a friction power device sandwiched between the rim and the tire; wherein the friction power device can produce a frictional current when pressed by the rim and/or the tire.
Crank measurement system with improved strain gauge installation
A crank measurement system includes four bend-sensing strain gauges located on one surface of a crank and oriented parallel to a neutral axis of the crank to sense bend strain induced in the crank. Two of the bend-sensing strain gauges are located above the neutral axis, and the other two bend-sensing strain gauges are located below the neutral axis. The system also includes two shear-sensing strain gauges located on the one surface and oriented to sense shear strain induced in the crank. The shear-sensing strain gauges are located on opposite sides of the neutral axis. The system may also include up to four axial-sensing strain gauges located on the one surface and oriented to sense axial strain induced in the crank. An electronics module receives strain data from the strain gauges, and determines from the strain data one or more of force, torque, and power applied to the crank.

SYSTEM OF ONE OR MULTIPLE CONTACTLESS EDDY CURRENT GENERATORS ON CONDUCTIVE COUNTER ELEMENTS IN A PERFORMANCE-OPTIMISED ARRANGEMENT RELATIVE TO ONE ANOTHER, AND USES THEREOF IN VEHICLES, IN PARTICULAR BICYCLES
By means of the system described, the use of eddy current generators on vehicles, especially bicycles, can be simplified by easier integration into standardized components such as brake pads, making them more suitable for everyday use. The problem of overcoming the magnetic holding forces at low speeds is essential for cyclists, as these would otherwise rule out the use of such systems in everyday traffic due to the lack of power generation when starting off at low speed. The integration into brake pads provides a significant advantage, as a new functionality is achieved without the need for additional components. The claimed additional functions for signalling contribute to increased traffic safety, especially for two-wheel traffic.

Wheel rim-mounted regeneration coil-magnet system
A bicycle includes a frame, a charging circuit carried by the frame and configured to capture energy associated with movement of the bicycle, a power module carried by the frame, and a switch disposed electrically between the charging circuit and power module. The power module, in response to an indication that the bicycle is travelling downhill, closes the switch to enable energy transfer between the charging circuit and power module.
