The present invention provides for implant device delivery apparatuses and related methods of use. The delivery systems of the present invention incorporate a stretch resistant tube that advantageously makes the implant device, such as an embolic coil, stretch resistant while a delivery system is being used to position the implant device at a desired target site.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR ACCESSING THE LEFT ATRIUM FOR CARDIAC PROCEDURES
20230233228 · 2023-07-27 · ·

Systems, devices, and methods for providing access to the heart. The system includes an intracardiac access device comprising an elongate member having a channel extending between a distal end and a proximal end thereof. The intracardiac access device is configured to be advanced through an extrapericardial penetration in the left atrial wall without penetrating the pericardium of the heart. An optional procedural device is configured to be advanced through the channel of the intracardiac access device into an internal chamber of the heart and configured to perform a surgical procedure in the internal chamber of the heart. A working channel of an optional suprasternal access device is configured to facilitate access of the intracardiac access device into the body of the patient by providing a path from a suprasternal opening to a position adjacent the roof of the left atrium.

Umbilical Splint

A use of an umbilical splint for shaping an umbilicus after an abdominal operation is described. The umbilical splint may comprise an insertion portion extending in a longitudinal direction and terminating at an insertion end for insertion into the umbilicus. Furthermore, the insertion portion may comprise a bulbous section near the insertion end. The bulbous section may be operable to apply pressure to a tissue of the umbilicus after the abdominal operation. The insertion portion may have different cross-sectional shapes including circular and oval. Finally, the insertion portion may be configured to engage the umbilicus such that the umbilical splint is retained within the umbilicus.

CLOSURE APPARATUS WITH FLEXIBLE SEALABLE MEMBER AND FLEXIBLE SUPPORT MEMBER

The disclosed technology provides a device for sealing an aperture in a tissue of a body lumen. The device comprises a flexible support member having a base having (i) a central portion and (ii) one or more lateral support portions, to engage and/or hold a sealable member of the device against an interior surface of the tissue when the device is in the sealing position. The lateral support portions provide additional support surfaces to engage peripheral portions of the sealable member against the interior surface of the tissue.

IMPLANTABLE CLOSURE DEVICE TO SEAL PUNCTURES OF SPINAL CORD AND BRAIN MENINGES MEMBRANES AND PREVENT LEAKAGE OF CEREBROSPINAL FLUID

An implantable closure device for sealing an opening through a biologic tissue membrane against leakage of biological fluid includes a fluid sealing plug configured to be positioned within the opening. One or more retainer sections are configured to secure the fluid sealing plug within the opening. The retainer sections include at least one of a distal retainer section coupled to a distal end of the fluid sealing plug and configured to be disposed distally on the biologic tissue membrane, or a proximal retainer section coupled to a proximal end of the fluid sealing plug and configured to be disposed proximally on the biologic tissue membrane.

Sealing device and delivery system

The invention relates to a sealing device for repair of cardiac and vascular defects or tissue opening such as a patent foramen ovale (PFO) or shunt in the heart, the vascular system, etc. and particularly provides an occluder device and trans-catheter occluder delivery system. The sealing device would have improved conformity to heart anatomy and be easily deployed, repositioned, and retrieved at the opening site.

Delivery systems for control of gastrointestinal bleeding

The present disclosure relates to a gastrointestinal delivery device of a dressing, where the delivery device is capable of fitting through a narrow channel before expanding and applying the dressing. The gastrointestinal delivery device may be used in all gastrointestinal bleeding applications and can be used with a biocompatible, foldable, thin profile, chitosan dressing. Various aspects of the device and its uses are provided herein.

CLOSURE DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SEALING BIOLOGIC TISSUE MEMBRANES
20230021405 · 2023-01-26 ·

A device for sealing an opening through a biologic tissue membrane against leakage. The device includes an implantable fluid sealing plug including a structural hydrogel. The fluid sealing plug is configured to be positioned at least partially within the opening through a biologic tissue such as a membrane. The fluid sealing plug is configured to increase in diameter upon absorbing a fluid, and the increase in diameter of the fluid sealing plug upon absorbing the fluid seals the opening through a biologic tissue membrane.

PERCUTANEOUS LARGE HOLE PROCEDURE
20230027775 · 2023-01-26 ·

A set of devices and associated methodology for percutaneously closing a puncture through the wall of an artery. The method includes inserting a guide wire through a percutaneous entry and into the artery; using the guide wire to guide an insertion of an introducer catheter into the artery; inserting a balloon catheter through the introducer catheter and into the artery; locking a firing mechanism loaded with fasteners onto the introducer catheter, thereby aligning the puncture with a distal working end of the firing mechanism; activating the firing mechanism to fire two or more fasteners onto the artery, each fastener individually tethered to a suture; percutaneously tying the sutures together to draw the fasteners together, closing the puncture.

Deflectable torque cable for delivery of medical devices

A delivery cable for delivering a medical device and a delivery device including the same are described herein. The delivery cable includes a flexible inner core, an outer coil surrounding at least a portion of the flexible inner core, and a pull wire disposed between the flexible inner core and the outer coil, the pull wire configured to deflect a distal deflectable portion of the delivery cable upon manipulation thereof. Methods of making the delivery cable and methods of using the delivery cable to deploy a medical device are also described herein.
